There are many different integrated graphic thingies by Intel, so I don't really know for you.
I tried it on my notebook once (turned off the "real" graphics card) and got like 30-40fps with maxframes config :/

It's not that I have or will be running TF2 on the graphics of my CPU, it's just that I was pretty curious. But thanks for the link. I'll check it out.

Let's see, my old Inspiron 518 desktop had an GM45 Intel GMA 3100 if I recall correctly. Got aboout 40-50 fps in non-busy areas. 20-35 in heavier areas.

That would be highly dependent on what CPU you're talking about. Different Intel CPUs come with different tiers of the built in GPU. Having said that most Intel GPUs built into i series CPUs are more than good enough for some light/casual gaming.

The computer I first played TF2 on had an integrated graphics system that I believe was Intel.

It was my first experience with a game that wasn't tetris (which I played until I hit this point), which is not very intense graphically... as a result I didn't think anything of the performance I was getting in TF2.

I later dug that PC up, hopped on a harvest server, and checked my fps. Highest I got was 20 (average was about 10), and coming from the computer I use now... it felt like I was running through quicksand with a broken leg and Rob Ford on my shoulders.

It also couldn't render water properly, the surface was an opaque white sheet. If I was under it, I couldn't see above it, if I was above it I couldn't see under it. For example

my laptop is an i3 with integrated intel hd graphics. maxframes, 800x600 tf2 runs at around 20-130 fps depending on the situation.

I think I have Intel HD 4600 integrated graphics on my laptop, runs TF2 with no problems

if u get one of the new haswell processors you should be fine to run tf2, i think its said its equal to a 460

Little off topic, but the only IGP thats remotely gameworthy would be the ones featured on the AMD APUs. The A10-7850K features a Radeon R7 GPU, basically an R7 250-260. Even the older APUs, such as the A10-6800K feature a Radeon HD 8670D. I wouldn't focus on gaming on an intel GPU unless you're lucky and have a new laptop that features the Iris Pro.

That said, if you have no other choice and have to run intel graphics, throwing on a maxframes config should fix any issues you have.

I am using exactly that, and with a reduced resolution and an fps config I sit at around 100 fps.

I have an i5-3570k stock & I run 1024x768 @ mostly low settings with dx9 frames with the exception of a couple settings set to medium. in pubs i get 100-200fps (from what i remember). but in 6s i get like 150+ on avg. it depends on resolution mostly. if u run lower res u get more fps because it relies more on your cpu.

It's pretty close.

460 models get anywhere from 750-1000 GFLOPS.(1) The good ones are closer to 1000.

The top of the line Haswell GPUs get around that, 704 GFLOPS for the 5000, 832 for the 5100 and 5200.(2)

I play with an Intel 4400 on a Surface Pro 2 and it runs TF2 fairly well with maxfps and at x768. 1080p is doable but can lag. I'm pretty sure you can't get 120hz from one of the Intel GPUs though.

I tested this a while ago, but I got around 200fps in 6s matches when uncapped with my 4770k. Probably not accurate though, since tf2 got updates that made it worse

I have an old second gen macbook pro which I use sometimes, cpu is intel p8700 with an nvidia 9400m. With a ton of tweaks (oc'd, maxframes, no hats, basic windows theme, the works) I can average 60ish fps in pubs at 1280x800 (weirdly lower res didn't affect my fps). Still get significant mouse lag though.

I was on HD4400 graphics with an i3-4130. My fps on highframes (with a few minor tweaks) was 60-80 constant at midfights with no noticeable lag on a 1080p screen. It's definitely playable but you may spike to terrible fps. Mine didn't luckily :)

When people talk about their fps on laptop, it's basically pointless as the low fps is due to the weak processor itself. Really as you can see above, especially on maxframes, video isn't the issue for tf2. Having a good processor with almost any integrated should be fine.

Makes me wonder why I bothered with a graphics card when 99% of the time I play tf2...
