New York is the cheapest place to fly to and a lot of people live in that area anyway. Holding it somewhere in Jersey might not be too expensive either.

As somebody who went to chicago for a couple days
I was actually scared.
Some dude got the cops called on him for rolling one on the top floor of the hotel and the chicago-natives were literally lined up and the bottom of the stairs yelling "tell that $%^#@$ whats up yo" and i was scared i was going to be executed for peeking into the hallway.
Its a spooky place man.
Also Raleigh, Greensboro, Or Charlotte(preferably Raleigh) all have nice locations if somebody wanted to do one in the Central East.

Another Raleigh vote. The hotels are pretty dead in the summer as long as PNC/Carter Finley/Walnut Creek don't have a concert so a decent room block rate shouldn't be hard to come by.

It makes no sense to have a lan in any of these central locations, because although it's an even distance for a lot of people, it's still really far away from almost everyone. Think about it, very few people live in the middle of the us, most people are near the coasts, so it only makes sense to hold any lans near the east/west.

as much as i want to say boston (where I'm from) with the # of people signed up for GXL philly seems like the place to be, but hey boston does have the best sports teams soooo

Like the i-series in the UK is on the Western side of Europe, no excuses. But the poverty stricken thirdies from Russia can fly out if they choose not to feed their kids for a year and turn up cos it's so awesome.
