Just saw it on reddit, the trailer makes it look absolutely amazing.

the art actually reminds me a lot of halo.
i was never a huge unreal fan though, i'll have to see how it plays once it comes out.
at least it's not yet another cpma clone.

We both know there is alot of talent behind some of these games.
We both know there is alot of work behind some of these games.
We both know there is alot of promise in some of these games.
Be an optimist, don't throw games under the rug just yet. (Go play through some of the alphas, they are incredibly fun. Doing some of the UT4 Playtesting from IRC is fun if you can handle the motion blur and limited map selection)

Toxikk dev on youtube commentAcutally, it's "Vehicular Game Modes" and they're totally optional. But a lot of people like them (incl. most of the dev team)... so we brought them. ;)
EIDT: RIP too late :[
Game looks really cool. It looks like what Halo could have and should have been if it were developed primarily for PC. The only thing that scares me is the lack of progression, as I fear the game will lose players fast after the "new game" feel wears off with no goals to work toward. Hopefully they integrate esports features or something directly into the game to create replayability.

looks like a decent fps that i can casually play for once
edit: hopefully optimized

Looks pretty fun. Here's hoping we don't get 30 fps lock, 60hz, hidden mouse accel, and all that poop.
considering that the game is "exclusively designed for pc", i don't think it'll have those problems.
It's actually refreshing to see a shooter NOT have some kind of progression system. I'm so tired of that treadmill bullshit. But I guess today's shooter demographic of ADD 12 year olds need something to keep them playing.

That 208 KD tho
That 208 KD tho
combined with the upcoming unreal tournament and chroma (harmonix), it looks like we finally have new fodder to cut through the moba bullshit.
also, even if they completely fuck this up, 15$ for one and 25$ for two keys sounds more than reasonable.

LEDs? Fucking everywhere.
Seriously these guys try to standout from "modern" shooters and yet their graphics, environments, sounds, style all look extremely derivative of that exact cod / bf / crysis trash.

CLAN ADMIN PRIVILEGES
One of the four Steam keys included in this package (the primary key) comes with CLAN ADMIN PRIVILEGES. This feature does not only get you access to the clan management tools, but also lets you host your own matches on our servers, define map cycles, administrate players, set mutators, set passwords for your matches etc. (will be available upon the full release).
Does that mean the absence of dedicated servers?

imo realistic graphics don't work for arena shooters. I want to be able to see what I'm shooting at thank you.

I had NS2 sitting in my library for ages now, how steep is the learning curve for the commander thing?
