Out of curiosity, what broke PREC, and what was the fix?
Thanks for the fix, it works great! Is there any way it can be made compatible with the Linux version?
Great news!
P.S: "1-record only curstomnamed demos." pls fix.

Valve made a backwards incompatible change to the IFileSystem API, plugin authors had to fix their headers to match the game binary again.

Valve needs to sign plugins for them to work, and they just don't reply to anybody who asks for them to sign similar plugins for Mac or Linux.

Sorry to necro but is PREC still broken? Where's the latest version?
The last one I saw was 2.0.6.

just download the most recent one from et2l should work
Just to confirm, 2.0.5 is the version that you want. 2.0.6 is full of misery.
nobelharvardsFrom this, it is reasonable to assume that Valve either accidentally changed the internal workings to upset PREC, or tried a new change, but realised the uproar from the competitive community (unlikely, since competitive TF2 community has such a small voice compared to pubstars).
They made a backward-incompatible change and then made it backward-compatible when I notified them that they had broken backwards compatibility (since it broke StatusSpec as well). We got a nice SDK update as well.
