I seriously doubt that "bringing back" old maps will ever work, even more so if they are already stock maps implemented by valve as it will be near impossible to get updates to them. If we want good maps we should be focusing on the maps that are still in development so we don't end up with a million maps that everybody hates but nobody gave feedback to make them better. Sunshine has serious potential but people still almost refuse to play it despite it being in for 2 seasons. The same could be said about Metalworks and they're both getting little to no feedback besides "map is shit" and surprisingly enough that's actually not useful feedback. I think if people started playing new maps more consistently from earlier stages and finding out problems early in development most mappers would be more than willing to fix them, but when people pretty much completely ignore a map until it's in rotation and then complain about it we're not going to accomplish much. Personally I would really like to see more new KOTH maps being play-tested as I think it's one of the most interesting gamemodes to play as well as watch and just 1 week of Viaduct doesn't seem to do it justice in my opinion.

i'd rather see a map like cp_logjam or something similar. i really liked what happened with sunshine, where the map maker was actively working on the project and moving the map along with suggestions from the community. yukon was a great map in its time, but we're probably better off moving toward a map with more developmental support.

Yeah that was me giving up on changing mid on warmerfront, because for a period of 3 months nothing then all the sudden I was killing the greatest map. I am sorry that I learned my lesson and now wait on feedback to make change. oh well back to half court sd.

I'd avoid this because if it isn't in the season then no one will practice it before lan. Same reasoning we haven't had gpit etc at i-series despite a fair amount of demand since it was removed from the league map pools.

Logjam probably won't be ready for S18, I'm going to get feedback from the ETF2L guys in their S19 to try and make it the best for hopefully ESEA S19... the Euros are brave and are going to try a beta map in the season. Logjam's not quite fixed in it's layout yet, so I wouldn't want to let to see it get thrown in for a season and then die because people hate it without realizing that I give a shit about my maps.
And mustard, if you're talking about a map I made that's a complete disaster, you're thinking of Intermodal... yuck, lol

I hate yukon because of the ways it's different from other maps but I would not dislike playing it occasionally. I mean, I don't play in league, but if it's in league it'll end up in pugs.

basically the things that are blatantly wrong in the map are:
1) the skyboxes are fucking low, like you can literally rocket jump on second point from the roof, and hit the skybox...
2) all 3 entrances on last are 2 miles away from the actual CP, that makes it really hard to push because there is no element of surprise since you see the attackers really early.
there might be a bit more that i cant remember since i last played it in like 2011 or something, but these 2 things are a big problem about the map atm...

i actually just checked yukon again, and the skyboxes appear to be a lot higher than i remembered, found some cheeky sneaky spots tho, if somebody does bother to make a pro version of the map, let me know ill post the sp0ts.

yukon needs to be brought back to life, the only reason people despised it so much at the time is because our whitelist for esea was a joke, things like mini sentry or going back to double heavies, natascha etc. none of that is an issue anymore
