Lightboost isn't terribly helpful over 144Hz, sure it's smoother but really dim, has poor colors and the pixel gtg is 2ms slower. But having the option there is always better and the BenQ 2411z costs barely more and has that feature.

The only problem I've really had is that it only works in 144hz on displayport, not over DVI Dual Link. Not sure how common of a problem it is, could just be a one-off problem with this unit.

I'm pretty sure I remember reading that dual link DVI can't handle 144Hz @ 1920x1080. Pretty sure that's just a technical limitation of DVI itself. Shouldn't be an issue though; most people who are using 144Hz monitors should probably have gpus that support displayport.

The 120Hz one did. According to this test, the 144Hz one has the lowest response times, but has other problems.

I have the VG248QE, lightboost makes some games so much darker I have to use gamma ramp. I've since stuck to 144Hz instead of 120Hz lightboost. If the colors are better (I like my old Samsung monitor's colors much better than the VG248QE) then I'd say it's not a bad deal.
