Not sure if there's already a thread for this elsewhere, but there's always a lot of sales and cool deals going on with mice, monitors, and other hardware component's for PC's. I'll do my best to post all of them here on a timely scale, but it'd be cool for everyone to contribute to it as well! I'll start off with this:

This is still a good idea nice to have a constant thread to update with deals rather than making new threads.

Speaking of deals the kbc poker 2 dropped yesterday on massdrop:

Here's a Monoprice Mechanical Keyboard with Red switches for $76 plus shipping.
Haven't used a keyboard by them myself, but everything else i've gotten by them has been top notch. Use the code NV15 to get $15 off as well, as long as the order is over $50. They have some other nice deals too. Here. Including a rebranded Zowie EC Evo.

Monoprice is usually just rebranded stuff right? Does anyone know what this keyboard is rebranded from?

I ordered this keyboard recently but I don't think I can wait that long for it to ship. :/

I think it may be a rebrand of this keyboard. Not entirely sure though.

Massdrop.com is a good site in general to watch for this kind of stuff. No cost to sign up, merely need an email address. Very often are popular mech keyboards, mice, headphones, and a lot of other random stuff that I haven't heard of before at time "on drop" on the site, aka you can put in an order for it at a reduced price. More people that order, the lower the price goes. Off the top of my head, I remember the quick fire rapid, ducky shine 3, and poker 3 on there in recent times.

I've never really used a mechanical keyboard and I've been using the relatively flat keys of the Microsoft Sidewinder for a while now. I was thinking of getting the Poker II during the drop but I'm not sure about dropping 100 bucks on a keyboard I might have trouble typing on.

Has anyone made the transition from the Sidewinder to a mechanical keyboard? I feel like the raised keys would throw me off a bit because I tend to glide across the keyboard very close to the keys.

massdrop should probably just be mentioned in the OP at all times.
(as in when the aurora massdrop deal is done, then just keep a massdrop.com link in there as a source for good deals.)

and if you (moof) have the time, then maybe you could even (temporarily) add whatever other deals are mentioned in this thread (to the OP).

If you don't feel like you can do the transition to mechanical, I heard topres were a decent middle between the two. They're a bit pricey though.

You can get different (lower) profile keycaps for any board with mx switches easily

I didnt move from that exact keyboard to a mechanical keyboard but i did start with a keyboard with flatter keys like that to a mechanical keyboard, i made the transition no problem, i didnt think the size of the keycaps were a huge deal, i personally liked the look more.

I'll try to always update the OP for Massdrop deals-- as for everything else, I'm not sure if I'll be able to keep up with that but that's why we have the thread :>

It's probably better not to update the OP. Anybody who lurks through will have better chances going to the latest post. Awesome thread.

It's 144 Hz, though Acer -does- have a 120 Hz model that had bad input lag but that was 2ish years ago.

This model from what I've read doesn't have that issue, the only issue that I could truely pick at it over that isn't usual for a 144Hz TN panel is that it doesn't have a DisplayPort Port, so you basically HAVE to use Dual Link DVI

@nobelharvards if it's pcb-mounted, you should consider getting both the board and a batch of green mx switches.
it's still an option if it's plate-mounted, but then you'd need to solder.

edit: i see it's plate-mounted, so you would need soldering equipment..

after having owned a G930, and a roommate who owns a G930 I wouldn't recommend this headset.

I've owned a G930 headset for about 11 months now, and about 2 months ago the battery life started to decrease to the point where I can now only have the headset on actual wireless for 15 minutes (it used to be about 90min). Roommates headset after about 7 months started to have a short in the led lights on it so you have no idea when it's on. The media buttons on the headset of mine do not work. Occasionally when I disable the mic via the button on the headset the mic doesn't actually get muted. In general the headset is a bit heavy, the audio quality is pretty shit (still below average compared to other wireless headsets.)

Fun (often overlooked) fact about the Modmic: Since it is magnetic, you don't even have to install a mount on headphones with metal sides. If you bought a modmic, you could just slap it on the side of the HD598s as-is.
