The other thread seemed to go against the grain for what Christmas is, and I wanted to go in the right direction, so let's begin.
I took some cash out of my new computer fund (I've been waiting for a decent setup for 5 years) I got my dad a gopro for swimming and other cool stuff. Hopefully it will get him pumped for the beach in the summer. I'm also making a new piece of art with this sweet frame I picked up at the flea market for both of my parents.
However, time is running short and I can't figure out something for my sister. She is a runner, but already has some good shoes and one of those wrist bands for counting miles. She doesn't need any earpieces or headphones. So yea, any ideas? I'm going out again today to hopefully find something.
Any good motivational running books or something related?

if you need any solid random gift idea, the Humans of New York book by Brandon Stanton is a great choice. it's pretty applicable to anyone of any age of any interest

Buy her something non running related, but go on a couple of runs with her. I'm sure she'd like that

I got a friend who runs and hikes a lot and said that getting a CamelPak is a good idea.
They come in vests or packs
I'm assuming that she does long enough runs for this to be useful though.

She doesn't have one of those camelpaks, awesome idea. Are they in stores? I might order it if I need to, just wondering.
But along with that, what are you guys up to? Any cool present ideas you got ready? I'm gunna post my new framed piece for the family when it's done.

Seeing a lot of suggestions for bottles. You should make sure she would actually use it because most crosscountry runners I know do not carry water even if they have bottles. Like vrisk said, she would probably have to be running more than 10 miles consistently to need a bottle.
Good luck.

She does 10k and 16k runs and I think something along the lines of that camel pack might work

I bought the child video games, that I'll also be playing, and an xbox controller with the USB, that I'll be using once he goes to sleep.
Children are the best for Christmas, it is true.
As far as sisters go, it depends on what she expects - I always just buy my sister something ridiculous that costs less than 10$

My sister and I usually buy baskets and fill them with candy/ snacks/ books/ etc for Christmas gifts. Decently cheap, pretty easy and very nice. Would recommend it if you're looking for a last second gift.
