Hi, I currently use a razer deathadder optical mouse (which is now broken) and I palm grip. I was wondering what mouse I should go for (my price range is anything below $100). I've been very interested in Zowie mice, but everything I've read seems to say that zowie is more for claw grip so.... I'm kinda lost.
fk1 is pretty good for palm unless you have large hands, i think the ec2/1 is made specifically for palm

I've read some reviews about the EC mice, and a few of them say that they start failing after a couple of months, and I like to buy mice for the long term, is them starting to break/peel quickly common or a rare thing (if you have one)?
Also, I do have fairly small hands. so fk1 works ok for palming if you have small hands?

Pretty sure they fixed the coating issues on the fk2014s and the ec cls if that's what you're talking about

really? I've had my ec1 evo for over a year now and my only complaint is not having new mouse feet because i lost the ones that came with it :(

i change between palm/claw on the fk1 with small asian hands, it is more than fine for either grip
i think the fk1 is a little better for claw, but it still works well for palm grip

so generally what I'm getting from this thread is that the zowie ec is good for palm grip and is a good, solid mouse? cause (I know this is hasty xD) I'm hoping to order a new one tonight, as I have no spare mice and tf2 is basically unplayable with my current one. :P
if you are coming from a DA, the ec1 has a similar feel.

I've had an EC1 for almost three years now, and can confirm that it did peel/become worn out on the rubber coating. I'd suggest the white one which doesn't have the rubber coating on it. I just got a FK2 and it's A LOT smaller than I expected for my tiny princess hands.
EC Evos are definitely for palm grip. When I bought my EC1 I felt weird using it at first, partly because of the rubber, but mostly because I used a grip closer to claw and didn't do the research. Eventually I adapted to it and use a palm-ish grip, so it feels fine. Then again, I play at sensitivities that a serious FPS player would cringe at (4-6cm/360), so don't take my word for it.
I bought mine two years ago, and while it doesn't have much wear, it also doesn't get much use since I'm on base most of the week, so YMMV. Bottom line, I'd recommend it.

definitely get the evo, great mouse
ec1 or ec2 are different sizes, if you like the mouse you have now you can get whichever one has a similar size

I just ordered a zowie evo ec1. Thank you so much for all the help, guys!
EDIT: got the email saying that zowie doesn't sell those anymore. Crap.
Do any of you have an opinion on the logitech g402 hyperion fury? Because I've also been looking into that.
EDIT 2: Just ordered a zowie fk1 as I have small hands. NOW thank you for all the answers.
