I mean... a pass play there is viable... at the 1/2 yard line... with 2 of the best runners in the nfl.... but that'd be like a 4th down thing why the hell 2nd down with 30 seconds left? I'm deeply confused. I guess they just went risky as hell and opted to pass because the pats might not expect it - because it makes so little sense... and they got bamboozled.

im also confused about the decision not to run it BUT

its not entirely out of the realm of possibility that pete carroll and his boys might have thought that the patriots defense figured that stopping lynch would win them the game and in turn decided that running the ball wouldnt be optimal???

idk i desperately hope thats somewhat the case because otherwise its a big headscratcher

EDIT: ok i watched the replay like a thousand times and butler was ready to pick off the pass like 5 seconds before wilson even threw it what the fuck seahawks
