Looking for a good FPS boost config for csgo since my computer is shit.
marqueethere is none
is it hard to make or that no-one needs one cuz it runs well for most people?
edit: sorry, don't know much on csgo

nobelharvardsMajority of command variables in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive that cannot be adjusted outside of the menu UI are protected by sv_cheats 1.
oh ok, that makes more sense, ty
I guess I'm going to have to get a better computer now.

There's one thing that helps quite a lot and that is adding -nod3d9ex to the launch options. It takes longer to alt-tab but it can also give you a huge fps boost.

Borderless window has been a thing for years, YEARS.

what are the benefits of using a borderless window versus fullscreen?
lowering your resolution seems to help a fair bit with increasing fps in csgo

fps wise none and i think you can't adjust brightness while windowed

When I tried using both -nod3d9ex and window borderless at the same time, I had little to no fps boost.

i hopped into regular dm server and tried lowering my aspect to 4:3 and resolution to minimum, with no visible increase in fps .
btw why do the regular pub servers give me like 40fps while the dm servers 90-100?

Turning off Steam Overlay in game reduces a lot of intermittent fps drops I found, but still not completely smooth.
this launch setting normally gives a huge boost.
-threads [number of cores]
-threads [number of cores]
-threads can be different than the number of cores. i7's have 4 cores but 8 threads. i5's have 4 threads.
I don't think csgo can use more than 3 threads, but setting 4 or 8 shouldn't hurt.

Honestly changing my resolution doesn't really help unless I have the maximum graphics settings. My computer runs it fine though, so it doesn't really affect me, but still.

i just wanna say that this is only accurate for desktops, i5 laptops are dual cores and some i7s are quads, while others are dual cores.

*typically* (bad rule of thumb etc) if theres a gpu bottleneck then lower resolution will give more frames, if cpu bottleneck then it won't do shit..
so for you it doesn't hit gpu bottleneck (unless you crank up the graphics), hence lower res does nothink.
low res and reduced fov/aspect ratio can still help others

People normally just run shadows on high and everything else on low.
did everything mentioned above (threads 4,-nod3d9ex,4:3 res)
i even used razer game booster and i still have 80 fps
help me
edit: i turned the res to 720 x 546 and i can play videogames now

search Chino cfg on google. It improved my fps quite a bit.
