Hello everyone,
After calling out scout who/seven in this thread last week, I wanted to make a thread dedicated to reporting and calling out obvious cheaters that play in the TF2 competitive or casual competitive community (e.g. lobbies, mge, dm servers, pugs etc).
It seems lately I've had a run in with a cheater every couple of days in lobbies. I've had several people come to me asking me to investigate various suspects and stuff, and I am open to doing that as time allows. But I'll also use this thread to post new cheaters and proof in this thread as I find them. I welcome anyone else to post info on cheaters with supporting information as long as you are 99% sure they really are a cheater.
Anyways I'll kick this one off by posting about Carbon
STEAM_0:1:42092061
First off, this guy has very bad game sense and is basically horrible at every class he plays. Multiple logs of him on scout with sub 50% accuracy averaging 130 DPM. Here is a link to his average stats across TF2C. He has however been toggling his hacks on sniper in various 6's lobbies. Here is one prime example: http://logs.tf/731002?highlight=76561198044449851
75% sniper accuracy, 58 headshots accross 11762 damage. There are multiple logs of him sniping with 65-75% sniper accuracy. Any sniper main or player familiar with competative sniper will tell you that much higher than 50% is suspicious. Looking at stats alone 75% would surly be aim assist, unless he was only going for body shots, or the entire team was standing still on purpose.
Here is another log: http://logs.tf/724143?highlight=76561198044449851
73% sniper accuracy accross 7666 damage. 480 DPM.
Sizziling stats that correspond to that log: http://sizzlingstats.com/stats/353395
Please note that "Download STV Demo" link at the top. I reviewed the demo, and the aim assist was blatant. And his crosshair was all over the place and moving erratically.
The demo is only 15 minutes long, and if you use demoui you can fast forward rollouts and review it in <10 minutes. I would encourage others to take a look at the demo if you are unsure, or if you would like to see a prime example of obvious aim assist.
Anyways, thats it for now, more cheater call outs to come.

Do you propose we do nothing and let them continue? They need to be exposed.
----------------------------------
Another super obvious cheater. This one is as blatant as it gets. Wall hacks + aimbot.
He changes his name every few days, he was going by Got^FreeWifi the other day.

This one was reported to me to investigate as spectators of this player were sure he was hacking.
Logs: http://logs.tf/711889?highlight=76561198115853449
He went heavy at first, then swapped over to sniper and managed 80% sniper accuracy across 8846 damage.
Here is the Sizziling stats, and you know the drill STV is at the top:
http://sizzlingstats.com/stats/350424
He starts off as heavy I noticed the way he was holding and slightly shaking as he was spinning up his mini gun. The minigun has poor accuracy at long range, and I believe he was using a cheat which allowed his miniguns movement to compensate and essentially make it more accurate. But just fast forward the first 5 minutes of him playing heavy.
When he went sniper I literally LOL'ed. I laughed even more when I turned r_drawothermodels 2 on to see him clearly aiming at people behind walls and even tracking the invisible spy. This is the most obvious cheater I've seen in a long time. Super obvious aimbot + wallhacks.

If you got time and patience you could try to applicate to ETF2L AC staff. They need honest people with independent opinions. Nice job there.

i am sure mgemike is cheating from playing with him i have insight in his plays and dm abilities, his aim is super twitchy (luckshots always) and he seems to have really good gamesense, knows when to bomb where etc I CALL BULLSHIT

It's odd to see so many ban posts from etf2l yet nothing from NA (esea wise). Im not 100% sure but I'm pretty sure esea client has only caught something like 1 player cheating and that was a very long time ago. If you had a person with AC experience I think you could catch a few players.
I know euros like cheating and stuff but it's hard to look at their bans and ours and not acknowledge there could be some cheaters sneaking past the all knowing esea client.
I can't think of anybody that could be cheating, but it's worth a shot. Would be more interesting than calling out low level players that no one really cares about.

The ESEA playerbase is p small honestly. I'd say at some point or another I've played with or against most people in open/IM and I can't think of a single person I think is hacking.

Is it likely that anti-cheat in tf2 is getting worse since valve probably focus more on CS:GO or would a VAC-update include both games? Same system same shit? I feel like TF2 is more susceptible to cheating because of F2P. Cheaters in pubs are not rare at all...

vac works independent from csgo and tf2
if you think TF2 has more cheaters hf in higher rank csgo matchmaking

I can't think of anybody either owl but I don't think many people expected baud. Then again we don't live with frenchies for the most part so iunno.
Still would be more interesting than calling out idiots in centers

Played a lobby with this guy Carbon yesterday and he added me after. Could not tell if he was hacking, some shots looked weird but I assumed it was the 150ish ping. He seemed nice enough in mumble. Definitely euro. Heres the logs. http://logs.tf/733862?highlight=76561198044449851
I suppose I could always go look at my POV and see if i saw any of his shots looked weird from my death cam.
I never pay attention to accuracy but I guess he got around 60% ? Looking into his logs further it seems he played with this guy tycho, Tycho was called out for hacking recently either on these forums or UGC.

I don't know enough about hacks to say anything on the matter, maybe detective nonis can come through.

tell aimbot devs that it's optimal if they aim exactly two degrees off-center when nospread is enabled because it maximizes the number of pellets that hit
watch them fuck it up and their hacks become useless
tbh I never understood why it was so much more common to "bust" CS cheaters despite the game being easier to silently cheat at. I always assumed that TF2 cheaters stayed away from comp more than CS cheaters did, guess not?

There are plenty of cheaters in UGC spread throughout every div in highlander and 6s despite a lack of cheaters in ESEA
There's even an admitted wallhacker starting on a UGC hl platinum team right now

If you come across a hacker in tf2 center please use the !rep system to remove them from the game and submit a demo of them to the tf2 center forums. They will get a lifetime ban on that account.
Also there is a plug-in called paranoia that can be run on private servers that will match different steam id's to ip addresses. Assuming they aren't using a vpn and don't share Internet connections you can match people with possible alts as well as help prevent people hacking on multiple accounts.

Can we talk about VAC not being effective anymore?
Between CS and TF2 it feels like I've been playing against at least 1 cheater a day for weeks, with a sudden rise of them in comp TF2 now. It's simply too ease for people to cheat, not only are most of their hacks not detected for months, but when they are a delayed VAC ban allows them to keep cheating until they swap over to 1 of their many cheap alt accounts and get right back to it.
I honestly don't remember this being a problem years ago. Seems like cheat makers are better at making hacking than Valve is at stopping them.
IP and HWID bans won't stop every cheater but it sure should make it a lot harder. VAC should take into account new profiles scoring irregularly and subject them to stricter screening. With the rise of undetectable LAN cheats and people getting VAC'd in matches this is getting out of hand fast.

tbf it's pretty dumb that they will only get banned if they can be proved to be cheating in a match.

Once again, no one should complain about things if you just "assume" things. If you have proof, present it. Saying things like, "this guy is a hacker, i have no proof, i thought the ugc admins already knew!!" wont ever do anything.

In Heavy's case EVERYONE who even glances at the UGC forums knew about him after that fiasco went down and tons of people were in mumble recording when he admitted to having had hacks installed for a good long while.
He just didn't get caught using it in a match so no ban will happen until then
