A couple things... I copied the admins from MGE iT to MGE iT West for now... I assume I will need to add more but for now those are the admins. Also it doesnt look like the stats are hooked up to tf2jump.com/mge - not sure where you set that so I will have to find out.

IMO, put ELO in because it helps players decide if they'll have a good match with another player or not

seconding adding ELO ingame- It helps players find matchups in their skill range so you don't waste eachother's time. Thanks for setting up the server!

Please, no ELO. It doesn't take long to figure out when you're outmatched.

I think it discourages "gay" play [although citation needed on that], because people aren't obsessed over their score. MGE isn't about winning, it's about getting better (to most), and anyone can get better by playing people that are far better than they are. If someone feels like it's SO mismatched that they aren't having fun or learning anything, they'll realize it pretty quick and find a new matchup.

There was a big discussion about it back on natf2 which is why it was disabled... soo someone find that thread or something. There was a reason we turned it off.

I would prefer for MGE West to remain ELO-free.

I don't MGE as often as I should (it stresses me out), but I really think that MGE shouldn't be made into something more than a training tool. I go to MGE specifically to get destroyed by people way better than me, and I don't want them refusing to fight me because my ELO isn't high enough. It's practice whether you're fighting good players or bad ones, and there's always something to learn.

I understand that some people like 1v1s, but it's not quake or UT. MGE exists to play and practice only one part of TF2, and shouldn't be made into an end to itself. I don't remember what weapons the iT MGEs ban but I know I don't want to deal with more DH Sollys/LL Demos trying to inflate their rating than I have to.

There is no ELO on the west server.

I don't think that's possible unless weapon whitelisting is actually built into MGE.

Just looked at the usage for this server for the past couple days... you guys wanted it and no one is using it. USE IT.

I've been having trouble joining off friends and through Steam to this server. The only reliable way I've been able to connect is through this website.

either way it's going to take more than a week to generate a consistent player base. Not many people even know the server exists yet.

What happened to this server? It's not up.

afaik Klanana took it down because so few people used it.
