flamewhile i think its cute everyone is thanking them for not dropping tf2, I don't think relying on other community run events to pick up their slack is a good idea.
100 percent agree.

LAN could potentially come back if valves assistance is enough for us to make esea tf2 MUCH more popular, However at this point that is likely a pipe dream.
The best thing we can do as players is to keep playing ESEA tf2 and not quit because there are no more LAN DREAMS (for those of us who never made it that far) and no more LAN meetups (for all you top players to hang out).

The last 3 days have been a rollercoaster.
First dread about esea
then matchmaking
then we got (most) of what we had back.
I'm just happy that I'm experiencing all of this

i don't think UGC is involved here at all.
I'm glad ESEA sees the value in our community, and hopefully Valve's loving can bring the big boy numbers and bring back ESEA LAN. There's a lot of good in our future.

What does esea offer without lan? If you play tf2 for money there are a lot of better ways to spend your time.

marqueeI don't know man, shit still looks kind of fucked.
Yeah, I kinda feel like that. It's kind of a vicious cycle downward in high-echelon TF2, where it's hard to justify putting in the huge time investment without an equally matched payout, but it's hard to justify putting in the payout without seeing the time investment.
Please tell me I'm wrong, and that there is a way that we as a community can make the time investment justifiable (because I'm assuming that Ipkane is not budging beyond his stated support). Is there a competitive tf2 patreon or something that I don't know about? Some charity event that would benefit high-tier players? Anything?

I don't understand what you are saying. Now the grind for Invite is actually justifiable considering you will actually make money, the exact opposite of what it was before.
