You don't need to have it out to view players health. It's listed on the hud no matter what weapon you have out. Did you know this? Discuss...
Juggling heals, dodging shit, tracking ubers normally, calling health, and aiming at other players is fucking hard to do. Good luck using it.
Please have this weapon banned, for some reason when I initially voted, I was under the impression you could only view the health of players when you had it out, therefore stopping your adv or risking your med/heals in order to check health/percentage. I would love to change my vote to a ban, sorry we went over it together with a few teammates but never had the chance to play test each weapon. Sorry dudes, killing/kalkin, please find it in your heart and outright ban this weapon.
There are a ton of strategies involving bluffing health, and in the right hands, this weapon will take the guessing game out of everything and force games into straight up DM fights. With teams moving immediately on percentage without even thinking. I understand you can do the same with spy, but you sacrifice a combat class for a pick class and I find that relatively fair.
woops i thought it only showed health when you had it out also. i still don't think its really op but it should probably be banned just becuase its pretty stupid
invite players in charge of knowing weapons.

I thought a big part of the metagame was using teammwork and communication to adequately relay how injured/healthy the other team is
While it sounds a little silly - you still need to put your med in position to actually see these things.
How often do you actually gain line of sight on the enemy med long enough to read his/her % unless they're already pushing on you.
The same goes for other general calls - really the only time it could really come into play, due to the med's generally being hidden, is on GPIT, where you can have LOS on enemy players slightly more often.
I don't think it will be as useful as it sounds like it could be unless you're willing to put your medic in harm's way more often than he/she is used to.
I mean really, how often are you going to want to peek a choke to try and catch a glimpse of the enemy med to check his/her %?
Although I too thought it only functioned when the weapon was out lol.

vanillaClearly you guys need to pub more.
The Solemn Vow is probably the last weapon I would use while pubbing lol

Not if you're battle-medicing.
But yeah, probably a good thing that it's banned now.

Seriously, why would one use the Solem Vow in a pub when you can use the Vita Saw? Beside messing around of course. Also, I wouldn't blame them for not knowing that stuff since there is so many weapons nowadays.
I'm surprised "no one" knew this... THIS IS THE ULTIDUO WEAPON OF DESTRUCTION

What. Ultiduo is probably the worst situation to use the solemn vow in.

Putting out extra damage as a medic at the right times is a good thing if you know when to. Solemn Vow = Bonesaw swing speed + the health reading so it's pretty good.

I know this may be too much work, but in the future would it be possible for the voters to write up why they are unbanning previously banned weapons, rather than to scramble around at the last minute. Or maybe each voter has to play test an unbanned weapon just to make sure that their reasons for unbanning the weapon in the first place were correct.

You know those post about making the game go faster?
There's your answer to why it should stay.
Am I in anyway saying it shouldn't be banned or it should stay? No, just point it out.

Those posts made by players who think granary stalemates because of the map and not because they don't know how to push advantages?

granary stalemates both because of the map and because people don't know how to push advantages
RIP. I may now never smite my foes by means of giving them head.

this is exactly why you shouldn't read those threads and actually think some drastic thing needs to be done to the game to make it faster

so the medic trades the ability to get clutch ubers for the ability to see hp. any item that gives medic more versatility and utility is good.

Agreed, only this is a little too good. Medics don't often go for "clutch ubers" and when they do its a spur of the moment last ditch effort kind of thing. Having every enemy players health knowable by just hovering over them while contiuing to heal effects the meta too much without asking players to put in much effort.
Example: heal pocket, hover over final boss banny, see his HP, determine fight outcome
