Everyone needs to start somewhere, you looked like this too when you started playing TF2C, don't make fun of new people

To be expected, I don't think it's necessarily bad that more people are trying competitive, maybe try joining the team that is not stacked or something. Or tf2pugme for 6s

I'm in bed still and have more to say about this, but wanted to point out that Red had Warpy, a former Invite player from years ago. He recently messaged me and told me about how TF2C is great now.
Maybe you're on the wrong team.

So what, pubs are even more of a steamroll most of the time. By the way, imagine what invite/prem people think of players of your skill

High level players dont complain about playing low level players, like yourself. That's because they don't come to TF2C expecting a serious competetive game. This is exactly the same situation except now you're the 'higher' skill player, don't expect lobbies to be competetive games and move on to better pugs or scrims for serious competetion.

what i got out of this video
0:00-0:07 dramatic intro
0:08-0:23 laughing at small hours/ lobbies played stats (rocking the alias "muselk killed tf2c" no less)
0:24-3:18 fast forwarded footage of mediocre heavy gameplay ft. spawn camps at every possible point
3:19-3:44 don't do this! even if i did it! let's not be jerks to new players (but pardon me while i make fun of someone they respect with my alias). play in hour restricted lobbies, unlike me. leave those slots for me so i can feel good about my gaming ability.
smh

Just be glad there are finally new players who are worse than you. I would think no longer being the worst player yourself would be a relief.

To avoid this, add lobby/hour restrictions (ex. 30 lobbies/ 500 hours) and/or join lobbies with hour restrictions if you don't want to play with Muselk's subs.
Leave it to the Low-Mid Open / mid-silver hl player to not only complain, but throw a fit about the quality of TF2 center and the new pub players coming into it.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SNkW0GFtC8 "Frag Video" aka a bunch of clips where you whiff half the shots and get only 1 scout pick. I have a feeling a good portion of some of the new comers are going to have better aim and consistency than you.

Ok, as someone who quite enjoys comp tf2 but has not played it too much I feel like I can actually add to this thread.
In my 12 or so lobbies played I've been on both ends of games like the one you've posted above literally months ago
I dont think any youtuber shouting out tf2c is the problem at all, although it probably has the potential to happen more often with more newbies its kinda up to the more experienced players to not stack teams

I would've had this as the music instead, because at least then the music would've been good:

on a side note I'd like to see some form of skill rating or balancing on tf2c, and now seems like a good time to relink this article in preparation for the soon-to-be matchmaking debacle http://www.vanillatf2.org/2014/08/zen-and-the-art-of-balancing-a-lobby/

I still don't see the issue with players not being as good as you when they first start. If it was pug.me or tf2pickup I could understand that maybe they should play with people at their own level, but really they're just trying to get better at the game. Pls don't fuck this up for everyone; Image sure new players wouldn't want to come into TF2 to get trashed on tftv before they even join a team.

if you are so good why you were playing on team with experienced players, why not join the other one to help people out and maybe give them little advice about what they should and shouldn't do
apparently because you're not gonna spawncamp in that case and get rolled in 10 mins. a true tragedy indeed.

Some people on tf2center are major dicks and suffer from the Dunning-Kruger syndrome. I have like 20 lobbies despite having played multiple seasons of Plat HL and etf2l high divs and I still get kicked from lobbies occasionally because they say I'm a noob who doesn't have enough lobbies.
If you want the game to grow you need to be kind and welcome this new wave of players, if you want a serious environment to practice you should'nt be playing lobbies anyway, get a real team or play pickups and you will be better off.
Lobbies are only good either for getting the first taste of competitive and start to understand the depth of the game or to waste some time when it's low hours and you can't find a pickup or a match and want to play some tf2.
I remember back when I started competitive, I did it on lobbies as well, but the original tf2lobby. I got a lot of shit for being a newbie, I dealth with it, but not everyone will have the same nerves or patience. After I got 100 or so lobbies under my belt I was ready for the real world of competitive and I never touched lobbies again. Maybe you can start being nice, and let's not make the tf2 matchmaking experience similar to csgo/dota which makes me wanna kill myself everytime I try to play it.

Silver sniper mains, ugh. I feel appalled knowing Im in the same community as you. Youre the kind thats killing TF2C, Muselk tries to do what he can and shoutout competitive and help it grow. Muselk didnt kill TF2C he brought new life, new blood to It. If you continue your elitism towards new players, nobody is going to want to play and enter competitive. And thats a damn shame. Good luck on your 6th season of silver lmao

This is so fucking true, I've been barred and kicked from about as many lobbies as I've played cause I don't have enough previous "experience"
just realized asia said their should be a 30 lobby limit on better level lobbies, well shit I'd be barred from all of those with my 23 played...
