radiumI'm going to grandstand a bit, but there is no point in someone with mid/high open DM doing a newbie mix. You are ruining the teaching experience for players that don't know how to stop you.

absolutely agreed. message us any players with extreme DM or any straight up sandbaggers and we'll get them squared away.

Ond_kajaIt's almost 6AM, going to bed. Thanks everyone for playing, organising and coaching this event.

thanks for coming out to coach man. it was much appreciated

I can't say I didn't have fun playing, coaching with a friend was super fun. However it was annoying waiting for the mixes to start and to get subs and stuff

also meetjot is a legend

especially when you are waiting for the last one for >1 hour and then they end them despite a queue that has enough people to play again.

:(

We ended the mixes one hour later than we normally do. Keep in mind that the admins and coaches are human beings and as much fun as newbie mix pugs going on forever, they consistently get toxic/frustrating/not fun after 1est. We pushed back the time an entire hour from when we usually cut it tonight, and the last mix I coached was really bad.

I'm sorry if it seems bad, but the admins knew very well that we COULD have another game. That doesn't mean it would've been fun or educational. We plugged the newbie pug group (which is comprised of current and former newbie mix gamers), and those pugs usually go pretty late after newbie mixes are over.

Thanks for coming out and playing, guys. We'll work off of what we did this week (the biggest newbie mix ever) in the future, :D

As someone whos pretty much only played highlander I would like to get into 6's, however when I played some newbie mixes it seemed like my dm was quite a bit a head of the other newbies, do you have any advice for somewhere other than tf2c to learn 6s? :<

find a team, or make a team with your highlander buddies so that you don't have scheduling conflicts. you could also get involved in pug groups.

worst comes to worst you can always find a team to backup on

i remember doing some pugs with you a season or two ago when you were in iron 6s. youre way ahead of the game already. go do some pugs, i know you know of blazepugs and newbie pugs are also pretty active.
