Been meaning to make a post like this in a long while but does anyone know of tf2 players that then made it big in another game or as a result of their digital sport?
One example which I've know for a while, jerax who plays with MVP.Hot6 in Korea and has qualified for TI5 used to play demo in ETF2L. I played vs. Him in div6 and his team were our biggest rivals.

I know oplaid writes for the daily dot, and that dude that made process is making maps for another game, was wondering if there's any others.

I wouldn't say sheep made it big in cs, but I think he'll make it there soon.

lolok aka zeroji from Dota2 used to play TF2 back in the days. I don't follow Dota but I heard he is doing fairly well.

I still play TF2 YA DINGUS
Anyways:
Qpingu programmed the original pug.na IRC bot. He now goes as kixelated and is 5k MMR in DOTA 2. He's known for taking down the beyond the summit stream by accident (look it up on reddit).
Dasher does production for CEVO CS:GO.
Lange makes a tool used by many of the top streamers (support class).
Pyyyour was making tournaments for Titanfall but not sure he's keeping up with that.
AG Otter now is a big hearthstone streamer and multi-time legend. He used to play in invite. His claim to fame is that he popularized freeze mage back in the day.
I'm sure a bunch of TF2 players are pretty good at CS:GO too but only sheep comes to mind.

koosta is arguably a bigger csgo success than sheep, his team is undefeated in esea-premier

yeah sheep didn't really have much success in cs, he played for what was at the time the ~4th best team in aus, but didn't really improve/put in the time from what i heard. Doesn't play anymore, or at least not for them

has enigma got pro recognition for tftv? maybe it counts as a tf2 related career improvement too

We just have to wish Blizzard will do things EA do with Fifa 15 in Overwatch then we might get our TF2 legands back.

Tyrone works for iBuyPower now if we're talking about occupations, and iirc he said he talked about him leading competitive TF2 teams to help him get the job.

Yeah did exactly same thing when I started work.
If i know something a generation of TF2 players are shifting and moving on in the real world, it would not surprise me to see half this scene running the world in 20 years time, the amount of talent and dedication we have.
