As for Odee's situation, I have been there, losing everything, including the home. It makes you feel like complete shit, and not being able to do anything is worse. Our insurance company only gave us a fraction of what we had, and that was not including the home. The renter declined any knowledge of what they used to defrost the pipes. Saying "I'm not paying" out loud just makes me dislike you, and I have no reason EXCEPT this. I'd rather you have not said a single thing. From what I saw, the guy has kids, it's less than a month before Christmas, and he has kids. His choice is directly going towards the house, to provide them warmth, instead of slight happiness.

I have no idea if I should +frag OP or leave it alone. I want to show that I care, but I don't want to make it seem like I'm an ass and that I think this is funny.

also wtf defy, those situations are not even close to comparable with this. Yes, blackfoger is dumb, but AFAIK smaka is doing fine (we'd probably all know if he wasn't). His house didn't burn.

As somebody that has had plenty of personal discussions with Odee, I will tell you that he is one of the most generous, kind people you will ever meet. This is a fucking tragedy. It's heartbreaking to see terrible things happen to fantastic people.

Whether you're joking or not is irrelevant. I find that your post is inappropriate in response to a video asking for help for a family in need. I realize this is a video game forum, the internet, blah blah blah. But that really doesn't excuse a person's choice to make an insensitive post.

Odee is pretty much the best guy in esports, don't be a baby just because people think that a guy as nice as him deserves some help when his fucking house burns down.

He very well may have some. Nonetheless, insurance often cannot (or will not) cover absolutely everything. See MYLES' example in #5.

Also, it is dirty pool to make assumptions.
