So i got a config from tf2mate.com and for some reason it causes some models to have a lower model detail, even though i set my model detail to high every time i start tf2.
This is what this tank looks like without the config: http://gyazo.com/00fefb0db63847819008fe20a67e7d8b
and this is what it looks like with the config: http://gyazo.com/2df0faff5b693e72f1239465dd955595
And as you can see, my loch n load looks fine with the config, but the grenade launcher looks really bad for some reason: http://gyazo.com/d2fd87609e4ad2367cbf5c8d4447918d
i have the same problem with some other weapons, the black box for example.
Also, whenever i start tf2 my model detail is set to medium, and when i change it to high i receive this message in the console: http://gyazo.com/c6707043c798157a451194d67b983099
This is what the custom cfg fodler looks like:
http://gyazo.com/fa2a12096bef0a409c8e42dbbd7050e0
http://gyazo.com/a1c24d04d125458f10b88b4539d0987e
ive searched through every one of these sfg files but i havent found anything related to model detail, i might just have missed it. And not that when i made the config on tf2mate i checked "No thanks, I'll use my own graphics settings": http://gyazo.com/2a6bc32523eb911598849ea3fe931f11
Do you have any idea what might be causing this problem?
Any help is appreciated, Thanks.

try changing r_rootlod and r_lod values, I think r_lod 1 and r_rootlod 1 should help, not entirely sure.

i suggest not using tf2mate. everyone i know that has used that has had some sort of problem with it. also another thing is if you have facial features off, it forces lod to be a certain level so that might have something to do with it. also you could try taking out the dxlevel of your launch options and see if that does anything.

ok, i have facial features enabled, and these are my launch options:
-console -novid -nocrashdialog -nojoy -noipx -nocdaudio -64bit -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemsp
and i used tf2mate because i wanted to have that feature where you can change cl_interp and r_draw_wievmodel for different weapons

different inteprs for weapons dont work anymore, only different interps for different classes still work.

Blumy launch options:
-console -novid -nocrashdialog -nojoy -noipx -nocdaudio -64bit -useforcedmparms -noforcemaccel -noforcemsp
afaik most of these don't work anymore or are useless, you can probably remove -nocrashdialog, -nojoy, -nodcaudio and -noipx
and i used tf2mate because i wanted to have that feature where you can change cl_interp and r_draw_wievmodel for different weapons
as oktober already stated, interp switching doesn't really work anymore and turning viewmodels on/off for specific weapons can easily be done by putting
bind 1 "slot1; r_drawviewmodel 1/0
in the class configs, no need to use tf2mate which is just straight up awful for editing later on
