As much as I'm pulling for C9 that's more on the organizers than fnatic. If 100k was on the line and I happened to overhear strats I'm not sure if I could force myself to pretend I didn't hear it. Obviously work needs to be done in the future to prevent these sorts of issues though, the tourney has had too many of them. Along with the whole unable to pause thing.

its amazing that u seem totally ok with being a blatant bandwagon. usually when u meet a gsw fan or something they'll try to defend themselves "i was a fan before they were good" but you openly admit u became a fan AFTER fnatic won 2 majors.

What's the issue with it though? Especially because e-sports teams don't have the same geographic focus that IRL sports do, how else should you decide which team you like? I don't think there's anything wrong with pulling for the teams that know how to play better than other teams, skilled CS is always more fun to watch than teams that don't know what they're doing.

"favorite" is a pretty empty word, and as you say its conceivable someone could use "favorite" to describe the team they enjoy watching the most. their enjoyment then is derived from the quality of cs they play. but if thats the case, why would you SUPPORT them? what they offer you is not a piece of their victory, but instead the opportunity to watch good cs which is true whether or not they win. you might be able to argue that in an earlier round of the playoffs its conceivable to root for the more consistently skilled teams because they offer you the opportunity to watch better cs later in the playoffs, but here the tournament ends whether or not C9 wins so fnatic winning offers no addtl "quality" cs to watch

I'm just glad c9 is in the grand finals of a major lan. After being a fan of coL in early csgo then being a fan of c9, and the first major of 2015 being such a disaster for the team (ESL One Katowice), it's exciting seeing them do this well in such a long time.
