b4nny's won it 8 times (7, 9, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18)
shade's won it 7 times (7, 11, 13, 14, 16, 17, 18)
lansky's won it 5 times (13, 14, 16, 17, 18)
clockwork's won it 5 times (9, 11, 16, 17, 18)
and harbleu has also won 5 times (6, 8, 10, 12, 15)

mustardoverlordor s6 lan where oplaid got the admins to force a single bo5 finals instead of 2 bo3s for the lower bracket teams due to flight schedule and beat fanom that way
Pretty much all of this is wrong.
This was the only ESEA LAN (to my knowledge) that had lower bracket finals and grand finals on Sunday.
We (blight-fanom) had flights that left around 5 or 6 PM. When we realized there were lower bracket finals to wait for, we were hesitant that we might miss our filghts. We asked blight-own and coL to start a little early, and they said that was fine. However, they ended up getting there late and warmed up for a while, so they basically started at the time they were supposed to (maybe a little later, I forget).
The match went to all three maps. The first two maps took an hour each, and the second map took about 30 minutes. With breaks between each set, it all lasted about three hours or so.
We were then informed that finals were a single bo5, and the only advantage we had is that we got to pick the first two (or maybe three?) maps, and then the rest were random. We figured that because the first match took so long (and because there was a whole different match before grand finals on Sunday), we were running out of time. We asked the other blight team if a single bo3 was acceptable. Some of them were fine with it, some of them were indifferent, but blackymonster (and maybe oplaid) were adamant that they would only do that if we couldn't choose to play Viaduct (easily our best map).
We were at their mercy at this point, so we quickly agreed. While we sat down to warm up, Torbull forced all of us to instantly ready up. We had absolutely no time to warm up, even though the other teams did (on top of a three hour set), and we got fucking destroyed on the first map.
As I've said, I'm pretty sure this is the only ESEA LAN that had lower bracket finals on Sunday, as well as a single bo5 for finals.

Tery_alfa - Scout, Soldier, Demo, Medic - I say "Soldier" since the S18 eLevate Soldier setup was never cemented. He also did play a map of Pocket with S15 Lost in Translation. Either way he's the only person to play every class at ESEA LAN.
That's all I can think of. I'm not well-versed in Invite pre-S10 so I dunno anything before then.
Thanks Terry, you're the TF2 e-sports historian we need.
Also I think I played more offclass overall than I played medic at LAN.

In the same vein however, there have been only two instances where the team who finished first in the regular ETF2L Premiership season did not go on to win the Grand Final; Fakkelbrigade in Season 9 and, more recently, [R]eason Gaming in Season 21.
In a more random regard, going back to the good old days without a mercy rule and ctf_turbine, the record margin of victory in an official ETF2L fixture is 29-0 if memory serves me right.

tl;dr for that incident
None of us on either team knew the format had been changed from a double bo3 to a single bo5 until minutes before the match. This was not a result of oplaid or blacky or anyone coercing torbull. We were told it would be a bo5, then ww and other members of blight.fanom were concerned about the flights, so they approached torbull. It was deemed that we could continue to do a bo5 and if it ran late, they would just have to forfeit, or we (blight.own) could agree to do a single bo3--winner takes all. Mesr and I urged our team to just take the bo3 to help everyone out, but blackymonster yelled something like "tell them we'll do it but they can't pick viaduct!" and obviously that ended up sticking.

We only played Epsilon at LAN twice total (both in group stages), both were on gullywash, both times we got rolled. Both times we also had the same result in group stage (undefeated epsi, our only loss being to Epsi).
The only team that had the same final standing as the previous insomnia was us! Forever 4th :(

However, Epsilon and the various b4nny teams have exactly the same form at intercontinental i-series, namely a 1st, a 2nd and a 3rd.

-oplaid was not the one who mostly talked to Torbull / lpkane, it was me. To my knowledge, no one (which would obviously include oplaid) from the other blight team talked to the admins at all. The other blight team took my word for the situation at hand.
-oplaid (nor anyone) forced the admins to do anything. It was purely blight's decision (primarily coming from blackymonster).
-A single bo5 was the format that the admins told us moments before finals, not 2 bo3s.
-The admins said we must play a single bo5 unless the other blight team agreed to do a bo3.
-Eventually we had to settle for a bo3 on blackymonster's terms (we can't choose Viaduct).
-"I never denied that esea weren't super nice about it themselves." Did I say you did? They were reasonable throughout the process, but we were just a little annoyed that we were given no time to warm up at all.
One could misconstrue that you made it seem like it was oplaid's team that had the bad flight schedules, but regardless, you were correct about the flights being the reason for the structure change.
No need to get super defensive about seeing how right or wrong you were, considering I was actually involved in the situation. I wanted to clear up some stuff that wasn't accurate.

-some people use adderall at lan... yz50 was on xanax. what a savage.
-deadbolt and paragon are brothers but they are NOT twins, i dunno how people actually believe that.
-Although they are one of the most successful soldier/medic combos in history, shade and lansky absolutely hate each other. If you check shades friends list he doesnt even have lansky added. Never has. Part of the reason we haven't had videos of shade molesting lansky the last couple lans is because lanskys parents actually got involved to make sure shade would stop.
-Most invite LAN players know that ma3la and cozen are gay. Nothing wrong with that of course. I also don't feel bad posting about it because they never seemed to try hiding it at LANs or on mumble. Anyway, after struggling with the long distance relationship things ended and they couldn't really recover. This is why cozen is no longer plays for ascent.
-I feel awful outing alfa here, but i honestly feel like this might help others in the community better understand him, and give him a little more slack. He was clinically diagnosed with aspergers, and on the autism spectrum. He's a genuinely nice kid and i always feel awful when people shit on him without realizing that he can't really help it.

lol i have so much more interesting ones but i feel like they are too controversial. Maybe if I'm super bored and feel like burning a shitload of bridges. you scared you invite fucks????
Do it, no balls
fine

O_o I actually thought those videos were jokingly made.
