Hello.
My old laptop is starting to die and since i've always prefered laptops over Pcs i've been thinking about buying a new one. I'm looking for a gaming one that costs from 1000-1200$.
I just wanted to know if it's actually possible getting around 200fps and stable 120fps on mid fights in tf2 on a gaming laptop within this budget.
If so, does anyone know what would be a good choice for me?

Lenovo Y50 if you really need a laptop, I use it right now when I'm not at home and I can get a good 120-200 constant during fights [with comanglias cfg] The only thing that might set this laptop off is the screen, it is absolutely horrendous. I recommend buying a monitor to plug into the laptop if you're playing at home, otherwise getting used to the screen is hard

Then what's the difference between gaming laptops and high end hp, toshiba, etc. laptops?

My final question is: What is the big difference between a normal looking laptop of 1000$ and a gaming one of 1000$? Because i've seen similar laptops in terms of specs and i just wanted to know at last if there's any difference between gaming and normal ones other than the appearance?

if you want your games to run at high quality, high frames and no loss with lag you want to get the ones with the best specs, and hard drives. (also personal preference on which OS.)

You should get a cheap rubbish (or at the most, 'ok') laptop for using microsoft word or whatever, then buy a great pc for that money. You're not really going to be playing games outside of your house, unless your parents live separately (like mine), or you go on a lot of vacations (which have famously shitty internet anyway).

Yep. I advise every gamer that wants a laptop to get a desktop and a lower end laptop. A true high end gaming laptop can be very expensive, very bulky and get very hot. Spend like $700-900 on a desktop, and $300-500 on a laptop and you will be much better off!

Gigabyte P34W is pretty decent, it's like $1500, 3.5lbs, quad core + 970m. Still would recommend a desktop + cheap laptop but if you really want just a laptop then the P34W is a pretty good choice imo
