I have pushed the Wednesday EU TF2 event back by 1 hour and will do the same for NA TF2 Hopefully this helps additional teams with timing so that we can get some more registrations for these Wednesday events. TF2 seems to be around 1-2 hours shorter than CS:GO so there really should be no issue with pushing these times back.

Played in today's event. Definitely glad to see the changes / feedback followed through since the very first one. Glad to have had you around too, Dilusive. Will definitely be trying to play in more of these as time permits.

Having stats would be awesome. Logs.tf integration would be pretty neat, or something more persistent that would track players/teams performance over multiple tournaments. Overall, these are quite fun and thank you for putting work into them.

My team missed Sunday's due to scheduling, but hopefully we'll be able to participate in more as they happen :)

Is something going on this Wednesday that I am oblivious to? We have no registrants for EU and 1 for NA.

My team is definitely gonna signup for wednesday, maybe tomorrow. Some teams might be a bit saturated? since I can't recall a period where we had biweekly cups, granted its offseason but still. In eu for example a lot of people are playing and practising for the HL nations cup atm.

A big issue at least for NA iis it's off season for both of the major leagues (UGC and ESEA). So a lot of people don't have team's atm and/or are taking a week or two break from tf2 before seasons begin again. I'd expect to see a lot more signups once pre-season scrimming begins and that's going to be the most important time to share these cups as well so people build it into their weekly schedule! I know i've been following this thread for a while but have yet to compete until closer to next season. Thank you for all your support with this!

I hope we can get a full 16 teams for one of these eventually, but there's only 3 for NA tomorrow.

What's causing so little people to sign up? Does the start time need to get pushed back even further? Do people not want to play because they don't think they can win? If the problems are identified the Razer people have already proven that they will do what they can to fix it.

The thing that is keeping me away from signing up for these cups is the fact that its a open pool. Theres no motivation to join the cup at a pretty early time of day to play against a prem team that will destroy you in 10 minutes and knock you out of the tournament. Some seperate divisions could be nice.

Alot of people have said this but at the same time... You go from work early etc., to play in a cup and get demolished in 10 minutes. Can't really learn anything either because you're just getting out-DM'd by the prem Gamers. It's not even disapointing to lose, because you already know that you can't beat them. It's just a waste of time in that aspect.

prem teams don't really get much out of rolling low teams either, but they signed up nonetheless.
you might as well sign up and just do your best, try to have some fun.
2 shot some prem scout or deny some prem roamer and you'll have some cool stories to tell your buddies

Prem teams get money for beating you. It's just too easy for them if you get alot of low level teams signing up.

Even if you do get matched up against an invite/prem team it's an excellent opportunity to see how these players play in game and you might be able to get a mentor out of it if you asked

And yes I do understand how terrible it is to get rolled 5-0 in 10 minutes first round
however there is a chance that won't happen if enough teams don't sign up
I'm not asking you to go out of your way to play but if you're available it's not that hard to get6 and play, worst case scenario you waste 20 minutes getting rolled, which sucks yes but there's a chance that won't happen and you can still take stuff away from it.

My biggest complaint with these tournaments is that there is no lower bracket, it would case the lower level teams to be more likely to play eachother and it would be more fair as to who gets the prize money as both times I've played in these my team has been eliminated by some LAN level pugscrim early on when we could have possibly come second

Crazy issue with the EU servers at the start of the event - Crisis averted, sorry for the delay in start time all.

In the confusion of server issues and other factors I forgot to manually seed the teams. Permzilla had been helping me with that and I simply forgot to reach out for this tournament... That is on me. Sorry guys.

The lovely Buttnose and I are exploring options for lower tier events. I understand that people don't like to join up and get rolled right out of the gate. My team at Gaming Grids with Razer need to identify a solid path for handling skill groups. More details to come later about properly handling skill groups.

While nothing is officially set in stone, a big thanks to Buttnose for leading the charge on getting some additional events going on Arena!

I forgot to mention...

Log.tf has been integrated. We are seeing some discrepancies in the stats that are being recorded. Most matches seem to be fine. Nonetheless we are one step closer.

We made adjustments to correct Golden Cap, you should now experience a complete position reset and a forced ready menu on map timer expire. This causes a disconnect with the logs.tf statistics, we are working out a solution for that as well.

Pause also should be in place. The pause needs to be done from the console though. The command in console is "pause" and "unpause" respectively. There are currently no limitations to this -- we are of course exploring our options to set limitations and have the pause available via chat command. It doesn't need to be said, but please when using pause communicate to your opponents why it is being used, do not abuse the pause command and communicate with your opponents before unpausing.

Thank you so much Dilusive, this update just fixed about every issue we had with these cups (and we experienced it all :D). It should be smooth sailing from now on.

Also please EU people, signup for the cup tomorrow, only 3 signups atm (mostly due to most eu teams playing GGG tournament) which is really poor

really love the way this is organized, great mods and easy to use, really enjoyed playing on this format!

only thing id like to suggest is that if we are playing bo1 maps I think it would be better if it was double elim, maybe im just feeling this way because we lost first round but would be nice to have a chance to play some more games! I think it would also be fine if it was just straight up bo3s for every round!

Other than that, loved everything and had a really good experience with this, will def be playing more! Thanks again!
