potthrasherSeriously tho, video games have no place in the Olympics. There is no physical athleticism involved. Do video games require skill, and lots of practice? Of course they do, but they just don't fit the bill as an Olympic sport in the same way that tennis wouldn't fit in ESEA. esports is growing, but it has a LONG way to go. The Koreans have really paved the way for us with the Starcraft scene, if we could reach that level with other games we could see esports finally get recognized as a legit "sport", but even then it still wouldn't fit the bill for the Olympics.Shooting a gun is an Olympic sport, something that requires no athleticism.
I had to log in just to say that this is prolly the most ignorant thing I've ever read in my entire life, I knew nerds didn't get out much but this is fucking retarded

There should be e-lympics for mental strength as an e-quivalent to the o-lympics for physical strength

Shooting is also an olympic sport. Pointing, and basically clicking. You don't even have to use the arrow keys.

Speaking of Infiltration, he won both SFxT and AE2012 at the Street Fighter 25th Anniversary tournament.
So he won $50,000 and a new car.

Olympic games should be available to all countries, regardless of if that country is wealthy or not.
Get rid of horseback riding, too dependent on the animal and not the owner (should be 90% person's ability, not other huge variable).
Society in general still values physical games over mental games really. I don't think video games should be an Olympic thing, but looking at how sports like major league baseball started out in America (players with day jobs, entertainment and theatrics, etc) we're not doing too bad given Street Fighter II came out in 1991.
I don't know, maybe it'll grow into its own thing, maybe not. Still, it'll be fairly different from athletic sports.

But how much was it to get that back to Korea?
