I honestly think Valve should allow you to remove gifted text. This has been suggested many times on the Steam Forums but they still haven't allowed you to. Thoughts?

I honestly think Valve should allow you to remove gifted text. This has been suggested many times on the Steam Forums but they still haven't allowed you to. Thoughts?
The price for gifted items would go up and it would give someone the opportunity to erase your name off of a thoughtful gift.
Think about it: You gift your friend a nice unusual for his/her birthday. She/He says "Thank you," removes the text and sells it for a high price. I would not like to see this option be available.
