Have we gotten any response regarding potentially moving these to night / scrim times? It'd be almost a guarantee that more teams would be available then because they'd normally be scrimming as opposed to the afternoon / evenings.
Wednesdays cup are held later in the day, 5 teams signed up. So many posts in this thread are players dictating terms, imo if you want to dictate terms get more then 5 teams signed up.

.
I'm literally just asking about times since I haven't seen Dilusive make a post regarding that but has responded to other feedback like logs, etc., and this is again something I feel would push more teams to signup and play because of availability. (And hopefully be less scared of having to play Invite players.)
I have made many posts regarding the timing of the events. For the Wednesday events I have pushed both EU and NA start times back by 1 hour so they occur later. I figured holding Sunday a bit earlier would give more people an opportunity to participate without eating into one's evening.
The only real request that I could identify related to match times dealt with the Wednesday events. I did not realize Sunday was an issue too..
I have no issue pushing the timing back for the Sunday events either, so long as that is desired by the players.

looking for a high team for the eu cup tomorrow

I think the sunday NA time is still a bit too early, maybe closer to scrim time would be better?
Also our team had a lot of fun playing today, really excited to keep playing in these.

sunday's time is fine, maybe moving it one hour later at most
most teams start scrims somewhere between 830 and 930 est
These are so early on wednesdays for PST people, good thing my school doesn't start until the 9th
I must admit that I am selfishly hesitant to push back the times for Sunday to scrim times. With CS:GO timing remaining as is I would be at the computer from 8:00a EST until 11:00p - 12:00a EST.
Could we compromise for a push back of 1 to 2 hours for both NA and EU on Sunday?

This is a whole other hurdle for standard week day events. I think for now (Until September 20) we will leave Wednesday as is. For the next batch, though, I am considering setting start time for 5:00p - 6:00p PST

current times are fine imo. maybe push Wednesday back by 1 hour to accommodate west players and people just getting out of school/work (5-6PST like you suggested). it's selfish of people to want the cups to start at "normal scrim times" tbh.
two things to keep in mind:
1) these cups take a few hours at the least to complete. the more teams, the longer its going to take.
2) once league play starts again teams will be having sunday/weds matches. it's inevitable. that will only complicate things and probably cause even less participation than we already have if held during scrim times
the last cup had a decent showing but we're yet to hit the 16 team limit. we should be hitting that with ease and asking for a team limit increase.

Don't think many teams are going to sign up this week due to i55.

Although, a good chunk of the team that's been whacking all over the competition is away at i55. Maybe some incentive for people to try their luck, eh? EH?
Apprehensive people should totally join this week. There's a slightly smaller chance of getting immediately knocked out by the top-of-invite team.

Laughing has a good point. This I think would be a great opportunity for those that were hesitant to join due to prem teams.
On a similar note, as I am sure all of you are already aware.. Buttnose has worked hard to put together an event void of those prem teams.

Big thanks to Buttnose for stepping in and lending a hand with Razer Arena events!

am i the only one bothered with the timing on sunday? imo sunday is the day most likely to plan eating with the family and such, having the tournament happen then has kept us from signing up those days
What a whiny group of gamers.
A company finally decided to throw a tournament for tf2. They hardly get any NA TF2 sign ups, then everyone complains about glitches, maps, times, formats, weapon bans. Just fucking sign up for the tournament.

i think the low number of signups is just because a lot of people still don't know about it.
the only thing i've ever seen about it is this thread, and surely a lot of people will miss a single thread. a news post, upcoming event, or cast would do a lot to spread the word (probably next week after i55 hype dies down)

Last Wednesday, August 19, the second place winner was The Last Resort. (I assume that is the team you play for.)

I had sent out two emails to every member of the team last week. The payment for that event has already been sent out.
If you need to carry this conversation further please reply to the email I sent with the subject line Razer Arena - Gaming Grids Frag Fest - EU TF2 8/19/15 - The Last Resort.
Thank you
