With the group stages complete, the stage is now set for the final sixteen teams to battle their way to the biggest title of the year.

Invite Group Standings

The group stages proved to be quite a surprise, with Reason Gaming, the ETF2L season winner, falling short against its regional rivals and finishing in second-to-last in the group, while The Last Resort turned heads by finishing second.

Playoffs Bracket

With the group stages complete, the six invited teams are joined by ten teams from the open groups to fill the double elimination bracket that will determine this year's champion. Bracket action will begin today, with two rounds in the upper bracket and one in the lower bracket to start. By the end of tonight, four of these teams will already be going home.

So two of Reason, Ascent, and Froyotech (the presumed top 2-3 teams heading into the tourney) are getting sent to the lower bracket tonight!?

Actually, if it's just the first two rounds, it'd be one of Reason or Ascent (assuming they both win their first round matchups). Still pretty shocking.

Danger Dogs literally belong in the open bracket. As such they had to fill the 6th invite spot. Still a shame Immunity or mixup were not around to fill the invite division with 6 teams capable of beating each other. Still, 5 out of 6 is not bad.
