SideshowSource for people earning $200 per 100k views?
Typically, youtubers make between roughly $1.25 and $3.50 per 1000 views. As mentioned above, it all depends on ad interactions. It varies wildly, but that's what I understand to be the typical number.
edit: sorry, that's not a source. i get these numbers from websites like socialblade, along with other various websites i've stumbled upon in the past.

That's still a lot, I didn't realize he'd make that much from 100k+ views, I also didn't know he uploaded so frequently.
Could you clarify what ad interactions means, is that like how frequently he runs ads before his vids?

$34k is probably a hell of a lot in lithuania though.

"Xd I wish I knew how to market garden that good" "xd sniper lobby frags are amazing"
You should have seen the dumb tf2c clip I sent in to him

This video made me understand that SiN is actually struggling and asks people to not use adblock in his videos...

GreenScreenObviously we don't know his actual earnings, and each person will have a different CPM depending on how much or little their viewers click ads, but you can get a broad estimate on Social Blade. I would be more likely to believe the lower range given ($34k a year). http://socialblade.com/youtube/user/nislt
Just saying this is a bit inaccurate, specially for gaming channels where the target audience is more familiar with technology and as such most have adblock enabled.
For example, as a whole I've made less than $50 in total for the entire comp.tf channel, literally can't even cash out yet because I haven't hit the minimum limit.
But NILST does this for a living and he surely is making bank off youtube, specially for lithuania standards.
I also do think his videos are absolute crap tho, very little effort put into, low quality, appealing to the masses, all "memed" / voiced over, etc, quite a difference from when he used to edit fragmovies. I still get it tho, he had the chance to take that niche in the market to make bank and he went for it even if he distanced himself from the comp community and started editing garbage videos.
Proudly displaying/publishing hacking videos is a whole other story tho.

If you look in the comments section, he says that valve would fix LMAOBOX since he made a video on it because valve patches the exploits after he DelfyTF2 makes a video on it.
BUT IT'S A HACK NOT A SHITTY EXPLOIT WHICH CAN BE FIXED BY TYPING A FEW LINES OF CODE FOR YOU TO MEME ON

Zesty$34k is probably a hell of a lot in lithuania though.
Minimum wage in Poland is around $2.81 ($2.06 after taxes) and a lot of people make that.
First year they can pay you as little as $2.24 ($1.64) though.
That means $34,000 is equivalent of 12099 hours of work (with wage of $2.81) around 33 hours a day without a day off.
I'd believe Lithuania to be similar.
With average wage ($4.28) $34,000 would be 7944 hours, 21 hours a day, doable.
EDIT: Actually Lithuania is even poorer with average of $3.73 (23.94 hours a day also doable :D)

The hacking video linked earlier appears to be private, at least when I click on the links. I guess there was something to be learned there.
The last time I had a conversation with someone regarding the question, "are we seeing more hackers in the game", the answer I got then was; "we just do a better job at catching them." I was referring more to the amount of hackers I've encountered through UGC in the past 7 months, which I feel was more than I had seen before. but again, there's not really a way to see if we've done a better job catching them, or there's simply more hackers in the game as a whole.

i see a lot of hackers, but i think it's more from streaming than just being in a valve pub
i've talked to some other people that stream tf2 and even if they get maybe 4-10 viewers on average, hackers like to join to grief their games/stream

I've never bumped into a hacker when I've been pubbing, only satan.
Maybe it's just a rise in NA hackers?

I did some googling and the average Lithuanian yearly salary is around 9250 usd. So even if his channel made the lowest estimate on socialblade ($34000 yearly), its still 4 times as much as the average salary there. So can you really blame him? Any of you would do what he does if you could.
