The CM storm tenkeyless is boss if you can find a used one/save a bit more money. Don't get blues if you have a desktop mic and maincall though. My team hates me now.

I've had blacks reds and blues and I like the feel of the blues best but they're p loud
Blacks are the best feel/sound ratio imo

It's not a popular opinion, but I totally agree that reds are a categorically worse switch than browns. The lack of tactile feedback means you have no real way of knowing whether you've actuated it until you bottom out. If the tiny bit of tactility in browns somehow makes your gaming performance worse, you have bigger problems at hand than your keyboard.

if you can find them, Id recommend gateron switches. they're smoother than cherry and are generally cheaper. the only problem is they aren't very common yet.

model m's can be gotten quite cheap (from ebay for example).
stating he has 5 means he thinks they're great.
looks like a recommendation to me.
anyway, calm down dude

I used reds for a long time (now I use topre), and you quickly learn where the key activates, so you won't have to bottom out. Topre is a tactile switch just like browns, and I've got to say I like reds just as much or more for gaming. Pushing down and holding a key feels more natural and smooth without a tactile bump, imo. It's all personal preference though.
