So after the whole fiasco where Shade was trying to get the orders figured out, I got my refund, but now about a month later still not the shirt. Obviously I'm not really entitled to it after my refund, but it would still be nice to have. Also, with winter coming along, a hoodie would be pretty nice to have.
I'm not the only one wanting to throw my money at them for some sick merch, and I'm sure not the only one that just wants an official response from someone if I can ever expect to have the opportunity to get a froyotech product.
If not, would you be wildly opposed to giving me the fullsize logo so I can put it on something myself?

does froyotech even care?

on a similar note, is there any word on when/if the fundraiser benefits (scrims/demo reviews/signed weapons etc) are being dealt with?

At least you got one of the two, lol. I never got either after several weeks of messages on twitter/steam/email.
I just think of it as a donation to froyo and have moved on. 38 bucks isn't a huge deal in the grand scheme of things.

the last time I contacted shade, he didn't reply to my latest email confirming a question he asked when I asked for a refund :/

It's not just froyo. Try buying anything as a fundraiser from this community...

I thought the community was very calm, all things considered, about the froyotech merchandise and some of the other stuff that happened (like not getting signed weapons for months).
there will always be people who are angry when their stuff doesn't come or takes months longer than expected.
I can't believe you're that riled up over a comment on the forums, it's really unprofessional.

I recall b4nny saying during one of his streams that he's planning on getting a tshirt printer/setting up a springtee for the FROYO shirt past/future orders, but I feel like there's a lot of stuff going on that only a few people who are at the right stream at the right time end up knowing about. I personally think that these sorts of public announcements that could easily be sorted out privately between the two individuals are kinda in bad taste, but lately it feels like making threads like these is the most efficient way to bring an issue like this to attention & have an informed member of the team in question clear stuff out that a good amount of people have concerns about.
That being said, no one in this community that I'm aware of is dedicated to the kind of mass fabrication of goodies like you would expect from some other merch store, and every single effort that anyone involved in any sort of activity like this shouldn't be taken lightly at all. This community does a lot of stuff for each other, most of the times it's really really cool stuff, like sending a bunch of peeps overseas to play some videogames, for example. So yeah, sorry about your shirts, and hope that everything gets sorted out soon.

So someone that pays for something and then doesnt receive it and complains about it is an asshat?
Not undervaluing the volunteer work that some individuals do for the community, im just saying that everyone that has donated and was promised a perk has the right to that perk. Complaining about it doesnt make you an asshat.

You're not wrong, but I don't think you read his post in the right context. His and Dashnerr's posts were about #13, a passive aggressive post without context that seemed to undervalue community fundraisers

Thanks for that.
I value this community immensely. I've donated to i49, i52, i55, last two ToTH's, Ghos7yama, donated to sal to pay back for i46, bought froyo shirts, twitch subscriptions, twitch donations. I value this community, but it's irritating when promised perks, or shirts, or jerseys, or stickers, or demo reviews, etc etc. and it takes numerous emails and constant attempts at communication.
I understand it is community ran and organized, and perks are dispersed on volunteer time. Maybe the volunteers need to take smaller bites at what kind of volunteer time they can afford. Or at least establishing some sort of communication between donators & distributors so we (donators) don't feel like we've been forgotten about.
I've seen numerous posts on the forums over the years and from TF2 buddies who never received their shirt/poster/sticker/demo review/hoodie/whatever, and it's a slight deterrent from donating again with the expectations of receiving a perk.

So hold on a sec...
I can't remember how much I donated for a jersey towards the i55 fundraiser, but to clarify... Let's say I spent $100 for a jersey, that FULL $100 went towards sending ascent to Europe, and there was $0 left for the production/shipping/handling of the actual jersey? So someone somewhere (you and mana?) Are paying out of pocket to fulfill perks?

All I have to say to that then, is that it's lunacy.

it's also why you didn't pay 150 bucks for a jersey instead of 100, so ya know...

I would have paid $150 if it meant that the fundraiser could be ran properly.
Fundraisers have to be self sufficient. I would assume if I'm paying $100 for a jersey in a fundraiser, that the jersey cost $35 to produce, $15 to ship, volunteer time to handle and $50 of that money goes to the actual fundraiser.
So ya know...

I feel like people are a lot less willing to shell out an extra 50 bucks just because there was a paragraph on iXX.tf saying "well this COULD be 100 dollars but we want to use money you donate to get people to Europe to do something else.
Remember the uncertainty when Shadowburn was confirmed unable to go to LAN? TLR was considering just refunding everyone because they would be taking money, some amount, dedicating to 'sdb@lan!' that was so hyped up, and just saying "yeah we'll just pick up some roamer who can pay their own way sry"
Now imagine that but the actual TF.TV run fundraisers?

Just an update:
Mana handed off a chunk of donator items [posters and jerseys] for me to help with today. So I will try my best to get all of what I have shipped out this coming week. From what I know there are still some items with him but rest assured they will make it out to you guys.
