title. everyone from my school and a bunch of schools in the area have tons of people who are obsessed. is this a thing in other places as well?
people get obsessed with old toys throughout a region every few years in my experience. yoyos also have the same phenomenon occur

it was getting kind of boring for my friends and i so we ended up learning/playing poker and started gambling pocket change. but eventually other students started doing the same thing and we got in trouble for introducing this "fad"

I've been cubing on and off for about 6 years now so if anyone has any questions I'd be glad to answer.
Cubing tends to look pretty flashy I guess, and it really isn't too difficult to learn how to do it (it's a bit harder if you want to do it quick) and one of the main pros of it is that it is very very cheap to get into.

Cubing is coming back, and I recently got into it myself - mostly because I needed something to do on the slow days at work - but it eventually just became easily accessible (via tutorials), and now it's something I try to improve at every day.
I'm still trying to learn all the advanced methods - so far I only know 2-Look OLL and 2-Look PLL. Still trying to improve my F2L Intuitive solving.
