Since there’s been a dearth of pov recordings in that oh so wonderfully accessible realm of youtube videos, I’ve converted the available demos from the ESEA S10 LAN before Valve has a chance to further break old demos as they have a penchant of doing.
I attempted to be authentic with HUDs and viewmodels based on current/previous configs. Don’t hurt me if I got things wrong.
Minor problems are present, such as sound bugs (weapon noises and footsteps) as well as a mildly annoying purple/black square near the health display; again related to Valve’s updates.
Thanks to techdude, of course, for making all these demos available in the first place.

Pretty sure it's better for my sanity if I don't think about how much time I spent making these...

Thanks, appreciate the effort you put into this. I know how painfully long it takes to process just one of those 30 minute demos and you did 19 of them gj mayne

what program do you use to record the playback of the demo and upload it to youtube?

n0gravwhat program do you use to record the playback of the demo and upload it to youtube?
Used lawena to record the image files, chucked those into vdub to create the avi then encoded with easy H264 which is what gets uploaded to youtube. Kirby's guide (http://teamfortress.tv/forum/thread/3521/1#post-50263) is essentially what I followed; skipping the editing in Vegas part since, well, it doesn't really need any editing and I was too lazy to take out the pauses.
You should attempt to record using srcdemo2; but that doesn't work for me.

Whoa, you used the in game record feature to record these? How long did it take to render these in Virtualdub?

The 40-45 minute videos took about two hours worth of rendering in vdub with my stock clocked AMD 1090t processor, then about an extra hour and a half of encoding in easy H264.
