I have a dual router that has both, 5 and 2.5 ghz networks. I connect all the devices in the house to the 2.5 ghz except my pc (and phone). We just got one of those smart tvs and we have it connected through the Ethernet port. Would this disable the 5ghz function because it is. The 5ghz signal still shows as long as the 2.5, but the 5 doesnt work when i try to connect to it :/
Is there a way to resolve it? if not does a 5ghz make a true difference in regards to playing tf2?

5ghz can have better performance but is more easily blocked by walls. Specifically, the 5ghz spectrum is less noisy so you would theoretically get less packet loss... I'm not sure it would be significant, a good 2.4 ghz network will still provide a decent connection.
Doubt the difference between 5 and 2.4 will make any real difference for playing tf2. You should always aim for a direct wired connection though.

I just used the 2.5 network for like a couple hours then it worked. And yes, it was working before, and it is working now. Thanks for your time anyways :)
