The Omnipotence Paradox is a favorite of mine. If a being has the ability to do anything, then that means it has the ability to give itself a limit, therefore not actually being able to do anything, while still actually being able to do anything.

Another interesting one is the Grandfather paradox, where if you were able to go back in time and were to kill your grandfather, you would never have been born, but there you are, time travelling to the past to make that happen.

Actually that's not a paradox. The egg came before the chicken because of evolution (the first chicken's parents can't be classified as "chicken" but more as an evolution stage of the chicken itself).

i don't like this as a parodox, it just gives the air of being written by a 5 year old who just refused to think about it and called it a 'paradox'

you must have received the time machine from someone or created it. if you then go back and give it to yourself then you have 2 time machines, then 4, then 8. you have an infinite number of time machines. that's more interesting and actually makes sense

Isn't that flawed though? If he can do anything then he obviously can't put a limit on himself, no one can. That's what defines his abilities. It doesn't actually mean he can't do anything. It just changes the definition of anything. If someone by definition can do anything then limiting him is impossible. 'Anything' does not include 'limiting himself', since it's inherently impossible.

That's basically saying "Tim and Jeff are wearing plaid shirts to a photo shoot. Tim has blue, Jeff has red. Is Jeff the bottom?"

That's not a great example because the colours you prefer to wear are a bit decided on what kind of person you are, in this case, it's probably true

for a bit of clarification, given that red implies a more emotional person, while blue conveys more of a steely collected person, it's usually the case that more feminine people are more emotional, which implies that jeff is more feminine and therefore it's more likely that jeff is the bottom, if you think that sounds ridiculous, you can extend it out to clothing you consider feminine, like tight jeans, or pink shirts

If he's omnipotent there isn't a thing so heavy he can't lift it. It comes down to if by omnipotent you mean the world in which he resides is unlimited to him, or if he can still be limited by the laws of the world but omnipotent within it.
