You should take a break if you're getting frustrated not enjoying playing TF2. You should not try to force yourself to play in order to regain your skill. It will come back if you give it time. If you're still having fun, just keep playing. Your skill will be fine soon.
i think its a video game and your overthinking things
playing for a long time and still losing to pubbers in 1v1s is what i like to call "the skeez effect"
this is very serious, please help this poor man overcome this roadblock to happiness

Play some Portal or Portal 2 community maps it's really relaxing
stop playing, leave the pc and make sure you have your life together (eating well, sleeping well). Then come back and play and it will all be gucci. If you're still bad after that then maybe you just suck and videogames aren't your thing.
I've never heard of u so you're probably just a dumpster with bad consistency
But most players won't be terribly consistent at 2.6k hours, unless you're a tf2 savant.
sry I realized my post came off as shittalk so I tried to make it more productive

[spoiler]Consistently bad

Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat with the sudden realization that I'm bad.
But then I hit an airshot and I think that I'm good again so its ok.

don't assume your own skill based on peak performances (its about consistency) and don't burn yourself out by playing too much
Henzyso, like 3 days ago when i launched tf2 i suddenly cant aim. I feel foreign to the game. It feels weird and i cant seem to grasp whats wrong :( im losing 1v1 encounters to really bad players. should i take a tf2 break??
last time i felt like this i realized the game somehow reset my fov to 75. make sure ur settings aren't different

An alternative to taking a break is warm up on bots. Playing tr_rocket shooting for 30 minutes to start the play dm or mge for another 30 minutes.
Also if you decide to take a break from tf2 I would recommend just rocket jumping so you don't lose your sense of movement.
