B4nny mentioned in one of his previous streams that some teams simply don't deserve to be in invite, where he mentioned the Bugs(he was slightly drunk, so..). I'd like to think that this is their revenge, running 5 heavies.

people are confusing "MM is a thing" for "TF2 is now the most serious of games and it needs to be considered as such", forgetting that this is still a game where you can shove your head into a giant banana mask and conga dance around

there's a huge difference between "this game could competitively be on the same level as CSGO in terms of respect" and "this game about goofy cartoon characters blowing each other up now has to aesthetically be treated exactly like CSGO, a far more realistic game about terrorism". so long as the absurd goofiness and the game design beauty don't actively hurt each other, this is pretty much exactly what you want when trying to carve a niche into competitive gaming

also, it's a team that's guaranteed to stick to the top no matter what vs. a team that's given nothing but time to waste since winning or losing means nothing, idk what else you'd expect

Tery_This was good, but nothing will ever top Classic Mixup vs. The Mighty Ducks in S11's regular season finale.

That was the highest level display of any offclassing chicanery the world has ever seen.

Plat's huntsman 3k at mid

b4nny is so educated on others' self-worth. When he lost lansky and tried replacing him with serv0 after a 3 season hiatus and ash on pocket, I subbed to his twitch.

I honestly don't mind b4nny as a person and the one personal interaction I had with him was pleasant but every time I see a b4nny sub post here I really want to commit murder-suucide

DrPloxoPeople seem to forget how great the Ducks Vs Mixup was.
It's not necessarily about nail biting tf2 action. And frankly, after the previous cast being incredibly long, it was fun to have some comic relief.

3 pans deep, never forget.

How would this remotely affect the public's view on TF2 in regards to MM? People who aren't into TF2 aren't waiting for it to drop, so they can become the best around. At most it'll tease a few current players into it, when they suddenly see the button on their main menu. Casting will probably stay the same even after MM drops. There's no 'new standard' to keep because we're getting MM.

Doesn't mean casting shouldn't be a responsibility to delivering entertainment (which seems to be forgotten by a few casters cough) regardless of audience.

When matchmaking has developed you would expect a level of professionalism and seriousness regardless, I'm not sure "fun xd" is a real reason to abandon those principles. How easy is it to simply finish a game normally and in doing so avoid any silly controversy or negative impressions, if any? :)

There are hundreds of vods of normal TF2 being played compared to the very few vods of non-seriousness. The people who play the top level of TF2 make jack-shit for putting effort into the game, so they have no reason to care about looking professional. I watched plenty of joke games when I was a lil newbie tf2 player, and it still didn't take away my desire to play the actual game. If some random viewer watches that single game and decides that TF2 is a joke, then why should anyone care? It's more their own problem than anyone elses. If TF2 does blow up from MM, I doubt these type of games will happen again.

Seriously though, I found this really fun to watch. I get this is unproffessional but:
-The bugs had no chance of making playoffs and were expected to get rolled anyway
-How far apart do these kind of matches even happen in top invite? The only other one I remember happening was Mighty Ducks vs Mix^ back in 2012...
-What are the chances someone's first interaction with comp is this match, out of all the other dozens of VODs in the same channel? and even if it happens, what are the chances they don't read the comments and immediately get it's not how comp is supposed to be played and this teams were just fucking around after the first half of the game?

You make pretty good points, I suppose some people are just concerned that this could become a recurring thing. Also Nursey it seems pretty unreliable to use yourself as an example for the hundreds to thousands of people that watch casts.
