I eat less when I don't have school because I'm always playing tf2. :P
eeei threw out all the food in my house and now I only keep one days worth of calories in my pantry (usually some crackers and tuna) but i'm wondering if you guys have some tips to keep myself from eating when im out?
eat, before you go outside, like really stuffed, so you don't get tempted by all the smells and subconscious things that trigger the urge to eat. and the other advice is good, eat food slowly and snack on fruits (like cherry tomatoes) instead of crisps, it's common sense basically, and most of the people already said it here, but it's a matter of self discipline and work, don't expect free diet magical pills to magically happen.

Spend your time doing something you love thats not eating
When you do eat, try choose something that will actually fill you up. Salad and fruit are good at that without too much calories. Don't make your diet 100% spinach, just make it simple natural tasty foods.

If you're trying to eat less, make it a gradual process of eating foods that will get you fuller faster. Many health teachers that I've talked to have said that when you don't feel full or hungry, stop eating. By the time you feel full, you'd have already eat too much. Also taking a walk afterwards is great to let your food settle and digest better. But don't just decide to throw everything away because then your urge to eat more is going to grow on you, and you'll eventually fall back into your bad habits

Most of the people here either exercise regularly or have experience in dieting and could offer personal experiences or advice. Obv losing weight is about eating less but there's plenty more to it than that. I had the best luck with intermittent fasting and black coffee but water and pure calorie counting works better for others. Having an open dialogue and being able to ask questions is actually really important for people looking to lose weight

To add onto 38, some people genuinely don't know how to stop playing video games, sleep, get over a crush or stop eating. There's nothing wrong with asking your community for anecdotes, advice or just general discussion. Everything may be a google search away but often times your community can offer more resonating insight because of shared interests/lifestyle.

Just have a planned schedule for eating, 3 times a day, meals with some meat and some complex carbs (rice for example), eat nuts, vegetables and fruits.
Don't sit on your ass all day, move it.
Drink plenty of water, sit up straight.

A "trick" I use is to basically brush my teeth after any meal to deter me from eating for at least 15 minutes or so. If all you want is something to taste (which is my issue with eating) chewing gum or eating foods that are small in volume but have lots of flavor are good ways to sate your "hunger."
On a side note, it's okay to eat a lot as long as you are eating the right stuff. Eating lots of vegetables, meat (careful with the grease tho), dairy products, etc. should be fine. However unless you actually need them try to not eat as many carbs. I only eat carbs if I know I'm actually going to be doing something draining that day and it's always in the mornings.
