so i was thinking about how to make dead ringer more viable in terms of hiding and escaping. Instead of the current triggering method, I suggest that holding m2 will take the watch out like current one. However on release it will act like invis watch. The regeneration of the cloak will be like cloak-n-dagger, without regeneration when cloaked, and drains on getting hit like the current one or invisible like invis watch. Not sure but will it be more viable?
the dead ringer is well balanced, now if you actually wanna talk unbalanced spy weapons what do you do to balance diamondback or red tape?

I think instead, there should be a system in which when you press m5 it activates the watch, then double tap v 16 times in quick succession to trigger the cloak sequence. It's like the normal invis watch, except you lose cloak for every time someone on your team calls "spy!" But also, the cloak only works when you're being shot at by a brass beast heavy. The brass beast heavy in question can still see you, but he's the only one. It's also a bit like the cloak and dagger, because when you move the cloak saps your gun ammo and makes your knife become 20% less accurate. I think this is a completely balanced idea which makes as much sense as your original one.

Diamondback is a bad weapon concept. It rewards you for doing things you would do anyways as a spy, by giving you a hundred damage crits to shoot at people. The downside of it is almost entirely negated if you play the class how you should.
