The marketer for LMAOBox, Maxbox has a stream. It was actually on the steam list on TF2's main menu. lets get this dude off twitch. It doesn't look good for the game when a known and blatant hacker has his stream being promoted on the stream page in game. https://www.twitch.tv/OfficialMaxBox report the fuck out of him on twitch and steam http://steamcommunity.com/id/officialmaxbox. thank you.

if you have seen any of his recent videos you would realize he doesn't do it anymore, or at least not publicly.

If he isn't cheating on stream Twitch isn't going to take his stream down and it seems unlikely that Valve would remove people who they personally have never caught cheating from the stream list even if they did want to remove cheaters

Twitch doesn't care that he was a hack dev or promoter of hacks. As long as he is not blatantly still hacking there is nothing we can do to "get him off twitch." Probably best to just let it go. Threads like this give him more attention than he deserves.

his chat asked him to turn lmaobox on less then 5 mins after i got there so I very much don't think hes quit hacking. It's kinda funny to me your willing to forgive a hacker of that caliber though especially after only a few months. Do what you will if you wanna let this game be a joke even after MM comes out that's your right.

I dont think anyone is forgiving him for hacking, we literally can't do anything to get him banned if he's not currently hacking.

"Age: 17"
"Sexuality: bisexual"
Awful lot of hugboxing going on in his profile for someone who gained popularity through being an early teen shit talker.

Wasn't he the one who whined about being attacked for being a douche and tried to become a "real" streamer?

Can we just avoid giving him any attention please? It's bad enough he made a name of himself as a cheater and is now riding that fame

This is another good reason for Valve to use TF.TV stream list instead of twitch. It will stop from showing hackers, it will show people who are actually members of the community, and it will show people who actually know what they are doing instead of random pubbers.

more than 99% of TF2 are pubbers. Pub streamers are part of the community. If anything they're more part of it than streamers who only stream competitive gametypes. Competitive (sadly) is only a tiny part of the TF2 community

And the stream list only attracts pubbers to streams anyway. They will watch what they're interested in (spoilers: not competitive). People who are interested in competitive streams figured out where to find competitive streams long ago

Also twitch chat has become a lot more toxic since random pubbers have started joining twitch chats through the stream list. It's for the best that most of them stick to the pub streams you don't care about so you don't have to deal with them

They represent the best part of the community and a lot of comp players also stream pubs not just comp matches, I thought the idea was to draw people into comp, not try to reinforce the garbage demo knight pubbing that currently happens.

What basis do you have to assert it represents the "best part" of the community? Despite being a "small game" the community is still quite vast and the competitive community itself is also very diverse with etf2l forums, ugc forums, ozfortress forums, and various other community sites and forums. In short, tftv is competitive tf2 but competitive tf2 is not tftv.

Specially when tftv stream list is determined by a very small group of people and subject to pre-review before approval. Also the streams were added to the game to help popularize tf2 streaming in general not only competitive streams since stream viewership is something this game always lacked compared to other fps games or competitive games in general.

Yeah.. I stopped cheating a LONG time ago.

Yeah, dumb trolls. It's almost a joke at this point. Trust me, I don't cheat anymore.

None. I didn't code it or sell it, the owner got all the money. I didn't get a cent.

barycenteri don't get it, why are people so accepting of an ex-hacker even if he supposedly stopped cheating

the main source of his popularity is clearly from when he used to flaunt lmaobox on his yt channel, but now that he claims he stopped cheating, it's all good now?

the guy seems so disingenuous too, in every post he makes on reddit he sounds so condescending and writes "<3" at the end of every comment as if to try to get everyone to like him

what even is there to like about him

If I just SAID I stopped and that was it, still hating me would be totally fair. The whole point is I'm trying to give back to the community. Donating to ToTH, host a 3 hour long giveaway stream, etc.

its not that people like him, its that it doesnt matter since hes not cheating on stream and nothing can be done unless he is.

I kinda liked the attention but I never intended to grow so big! I was around the ~1K sub mark for a while and that was fine, but it just started growing way too fast. Besides, it wasn't fun anymore, all I was doing was being a dick.
