Hi. I was surfing teamliquid.net and I came across a very educational, interesting, big list of tips. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=214757
I will update this post and make one big list if you guys can contribute! All kinds of tips are welcomed.
In-game
1. You have a higher chance of taking more fall damage if you are crouching. Let go of the crouch key before you land.
2. Scouts have low HP requiring less heals. Consider healing them first so they can quickly get back into the fight.
3. Keep in mind that it takes time for people to get to their teammates after they respawn. Having more players alive does not always mean a player advantage in a fight. (A lot of teams still suffer from this.)
Other
1. Ammomod in mge is very efficient especially if you have limited time to warm up before a scrim/match. There is no strategy involved (1v1s in matches are different from MGE anyway) so you can spend all of your time on raw dming rather than trying to outmaneuver your opponents.
2. Don't rage. You will play worse.
3. Wash your hands with warm water before playing. VinnyTheBoss always washes his hands before matches. Don't forget soap. It'll make your hands feel fresh.
4. Always play in leagues with people you like. Many "all-star" teams fail because of ego problems or bad chemistry. Plus you will have more fun if you play with your friends.

shlanerYou can crouch jump before rocket jumping to replicate c-tapping. YOU HEARD IT HERE FIRST.
Yeah you can but it doesn't work as well as a ctap, it's still better than a normal rocket jump though.
Here's a good video explaining that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukxv19VgHrA
OT:
Holding crouch in midair doesn't make you strafe better, but it does make you lose more momentum when hit with hitscan and get juggled more with projectiles.

If you are holding the point on viaduct, but have lost a few players and the other team is pushing. Your remaining players should leave without contesting the point so that they make sure not to die. If you do this, you should be able to repush with your quick spawns and take the point back.

Scouts should be a high priority for healing during fights. If you lose a close fight, you could probably have healed your scouts better.

As a Soldier, the Frying Pan does identical damage as the Shovel, but is a lot louder. Don't use it when you are trying to stay hidden, as the distinct sound will give your position away!

I just checked this on the last jump on jump_quba and it isn't true. I'll add something for the sake of having a useful thread though,
if you uncrouch after rocket jumping your speed will be effected by hitscan significantly less
when sticky jumping outside of mid rollouts it's useful to do most of them uncrouched (less hangtime jumping up onto spire, bats, etc)

It is true. Try a more controlled test like walking off of the catwalk in granary.

Soldier Tips:
Don't always go for airshots. A lot of the time a solid shotgun shot is enough to get the kill, and is easier to hit since the target is stuck in the air and can't really dodge.
Aiming for solid surfaces instead of trying for direct hits is a more consistent way to do damage, especially over longer distances.
Scouts will dodge differently depending on whether you have your rocket launcher or shotgun out. Saving ammo in each can be useful, since you can quickly switch weapons and catch a scout off guard for an easier kill.

Here's a spreadsheet just to demonstrate my point, since fall damage itself is random you should at least be able to tell that the crouched and uncrouched damages fall within the same range

here's a screenshot of the 2nd last jump on quba if you aren't aware of the jump already. It works well as a control for the higher end of fall damages

Your own spreadsheet averages crouched fall damage taking ~2.5 more damage.
The difference in height between crouched and uncrouched is only 20 hammer units, combined with fall damage's variability it seems like it doesn't really do anything, but it will average you a few less points of damage per fall.

if you click on people enough, they'll die
if you get your teammates to click on them with you, they'll die faster
don't think of set strategies for situations unless it's very general, because you really need to think on the fly
i've played with a ton of people recently that wouldn't adjust from their mindset that they have to heal people in a certain order, regardless of how hurt people are/crit heals/whatever and it has really astounded me that people would not break their habits even off of logic
if something isn't working, then change it
bringing down team moral isn't cool, keep it to yourself, there's usually always a chance that you can bring it back and win, even if it's an incredibly small chance; never lose hope
don't be a dick, because it will follow you until the day you quit or fake your death several times over or actually die
i personally remember people who have been jerks to me from over 4 years ago, and even though i try not to hold a grudge, i still think those people are assholes

TFC clanmate long time ago revealed he would microwave two pieces of bread to warm up his hands before matches. Still makes me laugh, but he absolutely dominated people and was probably the top player in the game when he cared about it. He probably still did it when he was playing TF2 at the top level. White bread must have been the secret.
