Honestly just get a heatsink from a leading brand. Parts like heatsinks and PSUs have a higher rate of failure/issues, and the higher quality brands tend to be the most reliable.

In murrka the hyper 212 is only $30 =P but in any case either of its variants (evo, plus) are great and are compatible with a range of processor sockets. Just check to make sure. I have one and it is super quiet. If you want to spend more money, get the Nocturna D14.

I second this. Hyper 212 is the best bang for your buck.

I use the evo on my AMD 6 core 1090T. It's steady at 4.0 the Evo cooler from #2. I heard 212 is about the same, i only know what i've tested. I use mx-4 thermal paste, but i don't really think paste makes THAT much difference.

Really, anything you get will be pretty good, just buy one of the more proven ones and you'll be happy, and make sure it fits in your case and has the right socket.
