Looking for a new mouse

So my DA 2013 got the doubleclicking issue where sometimes (pretty much all the time in my case) it will register a single click twice. I know that it could be fixable but I feel like it's not worth dealing with Razer build quality so I just went back to my MX518 until I got around to buying a new mouse. Now the MX518's scrollwheel is dying, so I'm looking for a new mouse.

This is how I hold the mouse: http://i.imgur.com/sEh9jEH.jpg I believe this would be considered a claw grip. The edges of my hand rest on the mouse but most of my palm is lifted.

Any suggestions? I've been thinking about Zowie but I would like to hold their mice first. I like the g502's shape when I got to try it.

Seems like Zowie FK might be up your alley, but you should probably shop around a bit first before deciding on anything

same thing happened to my deathadder a few months ago and I bought zowie ec1-a and it's the exact same shape as deathadder, if you like the way your mouse feels now I would recommend that one.

I'm a Logitech fan myself. Currently have a g400s that's had no problems the last 2 years, next one is probably going to be a g402.

Used to have a Steelseries Ikari before this one, but it had the same problem as yours does after <1 year. After that I tend to avoid Steelseries, even though they have a good rep.

with that grip, i guess zowie FK1 / FK2 would be best for you, but definitely try one out first if it's possible

The G400/G400s have the same shape as the MX518 but are discontinued. You can sometimes pick them up cheap on ebay

The G402 is the newer version of that line of mouse but has an altered shape (from what I've heard still feels more similar than it looks to MX518 mouse)

The Gigabyte XM300 is pretty much the exact same mouse as a deathadder but for less money.

The Zowie EC1A as mentioned previously has a deathadder like shape and ergonomics that lots of people find good, but there are also a lot of cheaper mice with similarly deathaddery shapes that you can get a bit cheaper.

Having brand loyalty to more major mouse manufacturers doesn't make a huge amount of sense as most mouse companies don't make their own shells and pick them out of a catalogue from an ODM. Off brand companies can use the exact same shell and sometimes make a better mouse with them. An example would be the DreamMachines DM1 which has almost the exact same shell as a Steelseries Sensei, but with a better sensor.

If you want a good mouse that'll last you a long time while performing well. Get any Zowie mouse.

Anyone know of any stores that I can test out Zowie mice at? I don't want to end up with an uncomfortable mouse.

I suppose if I had to I could always resell a mouse if it's not working for me.

god seeing all of these complaints about 2013 DAs makes me worried about mine, didn't have an issue with it so far -knock on wood.

I think I might try the FK1 or 1+. Not sure which to get though.

Still going to go to Fry's to try out mice, but I doubt they'll have anything good. Thanks everyone!

Rival 300 is pretty good but I'd only recommend it for medium/large sized hands - although it is shaped really well to be used in any (I have small hands) I imagine it's feel more comfortable in larger hands
