Heh, played this crap for three years. #1 guild in Broa on the Guild Party Quest, guild leader got hacked and disbanded the guild. Spent zero dollars, got to level 83. Last straw was when they 'experimented' with the economy by allowing people to purchase ingame currency.

Nexon has an unbelievable pay2win/pay2notgrind system going. Even in Combat Arms, their pay-only female character models had smaller hitboxes than the bulky default males. Avoid Nexon at all costs.

I played it for 2-3 years during beta and slightly after. Too much of a grindfest. Only thing good about the game was learning assembly and hacking the hell out of it, and I hung out with the sleepywood admins/owners in IRC where I learned about the best game Natural Selection. So maplestory was good for something.

Used to play that game before i started playing tf2. Once you get to the high levels the game quickly turns from free-to-play to play-to-win. If you want to get anywhere in that game at a high level you're gonna be throwing cash at nexon. Of course, you can still play f2p but you won't be up to par with those that do pay.

We won't get anywhere near that level dude. It'll just be a couple hours of making fun of everything Maplestory and how pathetic it's become, conveniently ignoring the fact that we're currently playing the game and are therefore equally as pathetic.

And then we quit forever. Again. And again.

This game is fucking evil don't play it what made me stop was the updates taking to long

I remember playing this game like 5 or 6 years ago on my dad's computer. I had a lot of fun with it back then, but when I tried it again after getting my own computer, it just wasn't fun. Its easy to tell the difference between people who legitimately play the game and people who just have money to throw around, and that kinda defeats any enjoyment.
I still really like its artstyle though
