The nameLess roster have been one of the most powerful teams in Europe for over the past year. Formed in early 2015 by veteran demoman kaidus, the team consisted of a mix of veterans and upcoming talent in kaidus’ goal of developing a top tier team. Competing under the Reason Gaming organization for the entirety of 2015, the core of kaidus, Hafficool and kaptain made quick progress, turning their podium finishes into 1st place medals. Coming in 2016, the road turned bumpy for the team after winning ETF2L Season 23, with kaidus stepping down due to a wrist injury, and their recent sponsor, nerdRage, dropping the team due to financial issues. Despite the setbacks, the team, competing as nameLess, bounced back with a strong showing at DreamHack Summer 2016 and another ETF2L title in Season 24. With the new name, the team is ready to bring an I-series title to Europe.
For Crowns eSports Club, the pickup marks a strong and swift return to the TF2 scene. The Swedish organization was formed as a branch of Publiclir for their eSports teams in June, including their former Swedish TF2 roster. The organization dropped said roster only a few days ago, citing roster issues as the reasoning behind the separation. With the pickup of the nameLess roster, the Crowns org will be represented by one of the best teams in Europe, and possibly the world.
Crowns’ manager Heny spoke to teamfortresstv about the recent pickup:
We're very happy to get the opportunity to work with one of the very best Team Fortress 2 teams in the world. The team has been playing together for very long and the roster is also very stable which we're happy about. Getting a team that has the same goals as ours has been very important and we feel confident that we can build one of the strongest TF2 franchises ever.
