A titanic struggle between Crowns eSports Club and Full Tilt ended up with Crowns eSports Club making a massive comeback to take the Insomnia58 title.
Crowns eSports Club vs. Full Tilt
The series began on Badlands. After pushing all the way to last, Crowns eSports Club attempted to apply their patented grinding style to take the round, but crucial mistakes allowed Full Tilt to run it all the way back. The next round saw a skirmish over Full Tilt's second, and Crowns eSports Club triumphed to put themselves on the board. Despite losing the next mid, Full Tilt got a crucial drop to reverse the momentum and take another round. Crowns eSports Club then took the next round to tie the game once again with only a few minutes remaining. At this point, Full Tilt finally took their first mid of the map, and after several attempts managed to take the round with seconds left on the clock to win the map 3-2.
Crowns eSports Club found some footing on Gullywash, where they took the first round after forcing a huge drop. Full Tilt responded in kind after taking mid, winning a tense fight on second and charging straight into last. Crowns eSports Club failed to push into last on the next round, allowing Full Tilt to push all the way back and take the round. A quick fourth round by Full Tilt put them up by two. With a comfortable lead, Full Tilt drained down the map timer before taking the next round, leaving Crowns eSports Club looking to score three rounds to tie in seven minutes. After a long protracted hold, Crowns eSports Club managed to take one, but that would be all as time expired in the final round to give Full Tilt a 4-2 win and putting them one map away from the championship.
Full Tilt looked to continue their dominance by taking the first mid on Snakewater, but despite a drop Crowns eSports Club were able to claw back to take the first round. Crowns eSports Club were able to string together some great picks of their own to take yet another round. In the next round, Full Tilt fought back after being pushed to their last, but were unable to convert and ended up losing the round. Down three rounds, Full Tilt collapsed and Crowns eSports Club scored two more quickly to put the map away.
Full Tilt looked to start off well on Granary by taking the first mid, but a dropped uber let Crowns eSports Club back in to the round and they took it after a bit of struggle. Another drop in the next round gave Crowns eSports Club what they needed to take it. Full Tilt responded with a fast round, but Crowns eSports Club took their own quick round to stay up by two. With less than ten minutes left, Full Tilt attempted to put themselves back into it, but needed multiple attempts to push into second and last and ultimately failed, allowing Crowns eSports Club to push all the way back and take yet another round right before time expired to win the map 4-1.
The final decisive map for the Insomnia58 title would be Process. Crowns eSports Club were once again gifted an opportunity to push back after Full Tilt dropped an uber despite winning mid, and capitalized to eventually take the round. Full Tilt then took the next mid, but were pushed back, and a back-and-forth across their second goes in Crowns eSports Club's favor once again. Down two, Full Tilt responded with a quick round to stay within one. In the next round, Crowns eSports Club were knocking on the door to last with only a few minutes remaining, but failed a last push, and Full Tilt charged all the way back but were unable to secure the round before time expired, setting up overtime. The overtime round ended up being a very intense back-and-forth struggle, but Crowns eSports Club took it to win the map 3-2 and complete the reverse sweep.
