Fresh off from a world championship title at Insomnia58 last weekend, Crowns eSports Club are the first team to make a roster change, with longtime scout Hafficool saying goodbye to the team to chase other opportunities. To fill in for their Icelandic friend, the team has decided to pick up Thalash from the recently disbanded Full Tilt as they get ready for ETF2L Season 25 and other events that may lie ahead.

Hafficool has been part of the team ever since their creation in 2015. In what started as a plan by kaidus to help nurture upcoming players, the group developed into one of the best teams in Europe and now the world. With the team, Hafficool added many achievements to his trophy case, including four ETF2L titles, 1st place at DreamHack Winter 2015, and his most crowning accomplishment: a world championship at Insomnia58.
Thalash’s move comes after a year of being part of Full Tilt. Formed in late 2015 by caster and personality Sideshow, the team rose to become a formidable contender for many competitions, including three podium finishes in ETF2L and finalists of DreamHack Summer 2016. Full Tilt’s run at Insomnia58 however is their most impressive achievement, beating Team XENEX, Jasmine Tea, and froyotech in the lower bracket playoffs to reach the grand finals, only to fall to eventual champions Crowns in one of the closest series in TF2 history. After pulling off an MVP worthy performance at i58, Thalash will look to continue on with a European legacy.
Thalash shared his thoughts about his new team:
After Full Tilt’s run at i58 we’ve unfortunately decided to part ways, but I am extremely happy to be joining Crowns and having the opportunity to play with some of the most talented players in Europe. I look forward to the future with my new team, and all the success which is to come.
