Newbie Seeking Setup Advice

Hey guys I'm completely new (to the competitive side) and was just wondering for some advice on settings. Now I know when you see this you're gonna sigh and wish I searched, but I did and either get a mix of different results or it's outdated so I'm not sure what to think.

1) What dxlevel?! and do you still put -dxlevel xx in launch options then take it out after the first loadup or leave it there?
2) Hud, I know most people have different ones these days but what's a common competitive one?

1) Preference dxlevel. Take it out after using it once or else your video settings will keep reseting. I highly recommend dx9 unless you need the FPS though because new updates have killed dxlvl 81 quite a bit.

broesel and m0re are really minimalist, if you don't like a lot of stuff on your screen, use those
you can really customize rayshud and omphud though
