Tbh I just want 2 new people to elect that are better than the 2 major candidates I have to choose from. And unless it's the populists and James B Weaver in the 1890s, a third party candidate isn't going to get that many votes or into the White House anytime soon. Almost makes me wonder if Bernie would have had a huge support train if he had gone libertarian.
Either way at least I've got a lot of congressional representatives that I can elect to either support or counter what's happening at the head of the US. It's partially why not much has been happening nowadays. Democratic legislation isn't going to get very far through a Republican dominated House and Senate.
I'm not usually one to talk heavily about politics but I feel like our country is being torn apart over it. It might be all the negative crap I'm seeing on social media (and I'm fucking tired of seeing it), but mind you a major divide has previously happened in US history that lead to a major conflict, the Civil War. And as much as I love the South and my southern roots, I don't want to have to experience a war over a dumb issue like this.
