I'll just throw all the ideas into 1 big post.

Demos/STV

-Being able to move around when you pause STV Demo
-Fix looping sound of Flames/Door opening/Heavy minigun spin/shoot
-Fix disappearing player model
-Integrate Auto-Record command into Tf2, whenever match starts, demo starts recording. Like P-REC but without it.
-Add Demoui button into main menu
-Cs:Go like Demoui system
-Be able to Open Scoreboard when watching Pov demos
-Option to remove Jitter when using Drive command

HUD

-Replace Red Damage numbers with Other color or have...
-...In game HUD designer that allows you to change various elements like Health and Ammo position/Damage Colors etc...
-Same Scoreboard system like in Cs Go, right click when scoreboard is opened, to click on players and check their profile, mute them, report for hacking, vote kick etc.

Make all of those Stock, because those weapons really change each class's playstyle, especially Medic's Mediguns, especially important when Item server goes down!

2.- Basic rocket jump/stickyjump tutorial and an optional advanced tutorials (?) Quake Live has this
I know they planned rocketjumping as a feature since even the early TF2 trailers feature it
3.- Optimize game performance / fix demo problems. Requirements on the steam page are quite outdated

I'm aware it's not TF2-exclusive, but seriously, about half of the scrims/officials I've played or watched lately have had to deal with this :<

Seeing as this is something that affects CSGO, I would assume Valve has been looking into it and trying to find a fix. Presumably they either a) have a fix that isn't ready to deploy b) haven't found the cause yet or c) this isn't something that can be fixed

-Fix the bug where if you try to upgrade a fully built Teleporter entrance while the exit is in the process of building, you "repair" the exit and waste metal until it's built as well. (source: http://youtu.be/PtnukOucObQ)

-If you walk in spawn at all (even just a tiny bit of your body) while carrying a building (just sentries?), it'll be destroyed. This means you have to be careful taking teleporters that were placed right on the edge of spawn and the outside if you're taking buildings with you. This is rather annoying, make the "protection" more lenient while still not allowing Engies to sit in spawn with a building. Add a countdown until the building explodes or expand the "safe" zone.

-Additionally, if you put teleporters in some places like a certain spot in the way back of the tunnel by a minecart in Dustbowl phase 1, it'll break if someone tries to use it since they can't successfully teleport due to player height/teleporter height conflict or something. Just add no-builds to these areas instead of Engineers having to find out through trial and error.

-Fix buildings blowing up if you change wrenches other than Sentries for the Gunslinger and vice versa. Makes no sense outside of this, just another pain.

-Add a world reload animation for the Pomson. Engie just stands there and you hear crank noises at the moment.

tbh CSGO style holstering would be one of the coolest things to be added to this game, but with the way weapons and hats work currently it might trigger the entity limit and that's problematic obviously

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet but in-game settings to turn off/on viewmodels and change crosshairs for specific weapon slots on specific classes would be a god send that'd fix the bugs that occur when you use configs/scripts to do it instead

I know they said improved crosshairs were coming but something else I'd love to see would be if valve made it so the directory "materials/vgui/crosshairs" is no longer checked by sv_pure. This would allow players to put any custom material they desire in the custom crosshairs folder, and, therefore, use the in-game commands to change size/color and swap between different crosshairs for different weapons. Requires minimal effort on Valve's part and pleases everyone: newer players could just download one of the many "improved default crosshairs" packs (many of which already exist) and could get their outlined, spinning, pony crosshairs, and experienced players can import crosshairs from other games or create their own.

This seems like it might be intentional in order to add more of a penalty to switching wrenches when you die with your sentry but still have a teleporter up

TechDudeFix the muting of game audio when playing on bball maps.

When this happens you can hear the announcer at full volume, but all shots etc are very muted. The sound usually fixes itself after 5 minutes.

snd_restart in console should fix this. Very strange though as I've only seen it happen on bball.

My main suggestion would be block lmaobox premium and/or implement an overwatch type feature for TF2, especially when matchmaking comes out.

insanely easy to implement and would fix the one issue with the current config setups, which is that slot configs break when a weapon changes automatically (out of ammo) or when using the scroll wheel.

This was a measure taken by Valve to prevent the Level 3 minisentry glitch afaik, and it seems like a lazy workaround, like buildings blowing up if you have your heel inside spawn. Would appreciate if they could fix it another way.

Thought of another one:

-Fix the game's soundscapes. Sometimes you hear a crit noise from miles away that sounds like it's right next to you, and sometimes you can't hear the level 3 sentry directly around the corner. Big request but it would go a long way.

BUGS

    These are console errorsI get on a regular basis, each freezing the game for a little over a second at a time, have tried verifying files, nothing happens:

    Material "models/weapons/c_items/c_rocketboots_demo" : proxy "AnimatedWeaponSheen" unable to initialize!
    Error: Material "models/weapons/c_items/c_rocketboots_demo" : proxy "AnimatedWeaponSheen" unable to initialize!
    Model '(null)' doesn't have attachment 'backblast' to attach particle system 'rocketbackblast' to.
    Failed to load sound "ambient_mp3\fire\fire_small_loop2.mp3", file probably missing from disk/repository

Tf2 is a very good game that means a lot to a lot of people, this isn't whining, can I just point out:

Valve has received a lot of money from tf2 alone (judging from this interview, this)

The community has received in return:

janky shameful gamemode
badges

While some new features would be nice, what is more important is that valve actually care for once.
The majority of maps are now community made.
The majority of stupid hats and weapons are now community made.
I think it's nearing evident that valve has the capacity to make this game what it deserves, but doesn't care.
If they cared they wouldn't have let the game look as embarrassing as it does today.

These are console errorsI get on a regular basis, each freezing the game for a little over a second at a time, have tried verifying files, nothing happens:

BumFreezeI cannot stress enough how much I want this. Please add map support to the TF2 Steam Workshop. This makes it a million times easier for everyone, for both the mapper and player to update maps, maps will no longer need a1234 b1234 rc1234 if they just auto-update. You don't need to go trawling through gamebanana and TF2Maps to find decent maps, newer more clueless players won't have to do things such as extract bz2s and find their maps folder etc. Overall it would make custom maps far better for everyone

Forsak3nTbh its silly to ask for the support when each region has its own ruleset on how 6s are played (eg unlocks, timelimits and winlimits).
That would be amazing if the headadmins of all leagues had a chat and came up with one ruleset for all, to which therefore Valve could implement things.

FFS Update the default settings. The defaults are terrible.

FOV 90
Viewmodel FOV 70 and minimal viewmodels default. Fix the minimal viewmodels to align with the weapon firing.
hit sounds and hit numbers on by default
less annoying default hitsound and more visible default hit numbers
Raise update rate and lower interp
add cosmetics, phong, ragdoll, and gib checkboxs to the graphics options
Update the default hud

For MM

Unlock after 200 hours play time
Basic class limits. 1 on Heavy, Demo, Medic and 2 on everything else.

For Casual
Remove random crits. Not even pubbers like them.

Valve will never add an official way to disable hats. Hats are what makes the game a huge source of profit for them so why would they help players ignore their existence

Hell i don't even want to disable every cosmetic. A list with checkboxs so i can be rid of things i hate seeing (unusual effects, obnoxious paint colors, and ugly non theme fitting items) would be something i would pay $40 for.
